How do you charge them? Is there a charger?

With a USB cord, there's a USB micro slot to charge it on the side of the headphone with the buttons.

Does the mic work with aux cable?

The mic is in the headset, not the aux cord. You can pair to your phone and be listening to your music library and at the same time access Siri or answer calls while being out of earshot of the phone. Simply speak “hey Siri” to place a call. To answer an incoming call, simply press the center of the left headphone and the music pauses and the call is answered.

Is there a way to lower the volume on the power on/off alert?

I can't find instructions that actually work. There's probably some sort of volume control, as they claim, but I'm damned if I can find it. Sound is OK, but too damn loud.

Is there a case to hold this headphone?

No case but those saying they're fragile I don't get. I throw mine in a backpack that gets tossed around. Had them for months now and haven't broken at all.
