This game is easy to learn, but also requires some thought and strategy, and the theme is cute and relatable. Definitely fun to play for any group of people.

Sheepy Time is a pretty unique board game with the mechanics at play. The theme makes you think it’s a kids game, but there’s a lot of nuances here at play. You’re a sheep going around a track trying to hop the fence and collect “winks” of sleep along the way. However, there’s a nightmare that can frighten and catch you if you’re not careful. Each time you hop the fence, you can retire or you can go around again, but if the nightmare reached the fence, the. The round ends and you won’t score points for that round. Gameplay is simple - choosing one of 2 cards in your hand to play, but the real trick is using the special power ups and knowing when to stop and when to keep going that makes this a little more of a strategy game than it seems to be from appearance. We still enjoyed it quite a bit and it’s quick and pleasant to play. Just know there’s a little more than what’s on the surface.

Yes, it's a bit lucky with cards but it's also a funny game that will have you laughing out loud with your friends as the nightmare catches people who just pushed things too far. Great components, kooky art, and a perfect play time, Sheepy Time belongs in your game collection.
