Great, inexpensive, reliable, easy-to-use Bluetooth car speaker!
I love this thing! I have fake woodgrain on the dash of my car, meaning a very smooth plastic spot that's perfect for little suction cups. Makes for a handy place to put this little bluetooth speaker. Plus, one side of this speaker is a solar power cell, and there is enough sun coming in and bouncing off that shiny plastic dash that I almost never have to plug this speaker in. It gets all the power it needs, 99% of the time, from the sun.The clarity of the sound is excellent and it couldn't be any easier to use. It paired instantly with my Android smartphone. There's a big button to turn it on and off. Smaller buttons to raise or lower the volume. Works with my voice dialing app.I like to call into a local radio show. When I call them I have to mute my car radio so they don't get feedback. The radio show uses their feed as their hold music, so I can still listen to the show while I wait for the program host to pick up and talk to me.I've also used this little speaker to listen to various audio books while I drive. I use my phone's music player and the sound of the author reading the book is very clear and easy to hear.Several people have told me that my voice doesn't sound tinny or far away when I talk to them using the built in microphone in this speaker. So the sound is good coming and going. Can't beat that!I like this little speaker so much, that I recommend it to people all the time. Especially when I ride with a friend and they make a call without one of these. That's risking our lives! You'd better believe I recommend this speaker to them!

Smart use of solar tech
I was looking for a bluetooth speaker unit to replace an old Motorola headset. I was tired of always charging the headset and I rarely used it outside of the car, so when I found this car kit I thought it would be perfect. It uses a standard micro USB port to charge (the same as my phone) which is handy, and the solar panel idea made a lot of sense. I charged the unit initially using USB, and then stuck it on my windshield below the tinted area at the top, sort of behind my rear view mirror. It's small enough that it is discreet; the controls are simple and easy to use.Pairing my phone was very easy and it has had no problems connecting each time since then. Incoming sound quality is good and the speaker is plenty loud. People I talk to also report that I sound clear on their end, so I think the noise cancellation works well.As far as the effectiveness of the solar charging, it seems to be working although it's hard to say - I've only had it for two weeks. After the initial USB charge, I haven't had to charge the unit again via USB in that time. We've only had a few sunny days lately, but it does seem like the unit must be getting some power from the solar panel; I always use Bluetooth for my daily commute and I have yet to receive a low battery warning. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the amount of actual talking you do while in the car.Overall, I've found this car kit to fit my needs extremely well.

Great concept, poor implementation
The device does indeed charge by solar power, however it is far from being a great product.First, if you have it installed on your visor with the speaker facing you, the solar panel is hidden. You have to remove the device from the plastic holder and set it out in the sun in order for it to regain the charge. That being said, it does hold a charge for a long while even without sun exposure. As for the plastic holder and metal clip - this produces a lot of rattling noise that with music and the AC on you might be able to ignore. For me, it became too annoying and I would only mount it when I knew I was going to need to take a call.Second, the call quality is sub-par, but I guess you get what you pay for. I repeatedly had to switch to my cell phone (iPhone 4) mid-call as people on the other end could not understand me. Granted, I do have a deep voice, so the device might be cancelling me out a bit. I had very little issue hearing other callers 90% of the time. Finally, the device is over-zealous at stealing calls back. You could say this was the phone's fault, but I don't think this is the case. When I would get home, I would switch the call source to the iPhone then walk away. Randomly in my house the call would get stolen by the device and I'd have to manually set it back. My BMW, even with the car off, would keep the radio/bluetooth on until I hung up yet it always let me maintain the call on my iPhone without ever trying to grab it back. I simply found I had to power off the device manually after setting the iPhone as the call source in order to prevent this from happening.Overall, the product does work to some extent and the lack of needing to charge is a huge plus, but I am back on Amazon shopping for a product with superior call clarity/quality to replace this one.

Decent but not great
The idea of this is great, but it never worked well for me. I drive a 2006 Toyota rav4. During my time with this, people could barely hear what I'm saying. I practically have to be shouting for the other person to hear me. BTW, this thing will make you sound like you're talking in a tunnel. The clip for the sun visor is no good since it won't be able to charge with solar if you mount it with the buttons facing you. If you mount it backwards, the buttons will be blocked.Buy this if you have a quiet car, and you don't use the AC. Otherwise, you better hope the person on the other end of the line has enough patience to try and figure out what the heck you're trying to say.

Excellent little unit
Simple to use, Does everything it claims to do. Small and inconspicuous on the windshield. Suction cup mounting stays stuck. Speaker is clear and there is plenty of volume. Stays connected as long as you're within 200-300 ft of the car. Solar charging is flawless. No messy wires hanging down. Excellent value for $35.

Very impressed by the battery, even in miserable dark England
Works a treat, sounds ok but how can it charge when it needs to be close to you on the visor?Bit harsh as you dont have to put it in the screen too often, it works well.

Nice little unit, but microphone is so-so
Neat little package with lots of features, although the microphone quality is not-so-hot. I often have to ask for things to be repeated because the voice is fuzzy, although my wife (who is using the device in the car) seems to have no trouble understanding me from its speaker.

rubbish
I regretted buying this Bluetooth device, it doesn't even connect two devices as indicated. How I wish I never bought it. I want my money back :(
