A really handy item to have if making bone broth and clarified butter or ghee. Works opposite for each. For broth, you are decanting the broth and leaving the fat in the separator to either store or discard. For butter, you are decanting the milk solids to store or discard and leaving the butter in the separator. But whichever direction you're going it works great. It is solid and I have no leakage problems. As with all these hard plastics, you are better to wash by hand and dry with a paper towel if you want it to stay clear.

I’ve been looking for a fat separator lately, and I’m glad that I chose this one. I used it to make broth and couldn’t be happier with how easy it was to strain the broth and skim the fat. We are gravy lovers, so I will definitely give it a go and use it next time we cook a roast. The product is made out of good quality materials, totally safe when it comes to using hot liquids, and it’s also dishwasher safe. I definitely recommend it!

I am pleased that l finally found a fat separator, this one is very easy to use and you can control how much gravy you want just by pulling the lever back. It’s also dishwasher safe and it comes sparkling clean.. on a side not if you have tiny bits of garlic or other seasonings/veggies that are small enough to go through the strainer it will plug the flow of the liquid.
