A feel good contemporary lesbian romance
After being dumped by her on-again-off-again girlfriend, Paige does a house swap hoping to rekindle her muse. She heads to a lovely little village called Holme in the UK and meets beautiful Fiona in a pub. Fiona has suffered both the loss of the woman she loves and her singing career. They find an immediate connection, but can it work long term? Christmas is coming and magic is in the air. This is a fun contemporary romance with the added bonus of the holiday atmosphere. Paige is adorable. A natural homemaker who is able to attack any situation creatively. Fiona is a little harder to like because all her heart is buried under her grief. I love seeing the slow unveiling of her growth. The antics between the dog and llama were hilarious! The story had such wonderful warm moments. This is definitely a feel good book.

What a wonderful story
This book is one of the best from Miranda - in my opinion. I could not put it down for a moment. I loved all the characters, but specially Paige. Really funny at times, but also heartbreaking at others. I would strongly recommend it for a nice holiday read.

Get some holiday spirit today!
Holme for the Holidays starts off on a gloomy tone, due to the events setting stage for one of the MCs' arc. This is an unusual but courageous choice in this genre, and potential listeners should not let themselves be scared away by it.Those who stick with the book will be rewarded with wintry Yorkshire landscapes, a lively and tight knit village community, and a healthy dose of holiday spirit. If you're an audiobook listener, you might want to consider the Audible edition.I own both, and found Stephanie Murphy's voice and narration to be an excellent match for the story.Like a hot drink and a blanket on a rainy day, Holme for the Holidays will give you feelings of warmth and coziness. This book brought me Christmas in August. If holiday spirit is what you're looking for, this is the book for you!

Cozy little romance, perfect for the holiday season!
This is the very first lesbian romance novel I've ever read... actually, the first romance I've ever read, so I don't really know how it fits into the genre. That said, it was a fun little read and I read it as quickly as a mom with a toddler could possibly do so. Looking forward to reading more from this author and others!

Very merry
Lovely story where two different cultures meet fall in love and get to know one another. Loved the part where Christmas meals were compared to Yorkshire and American.

a light hearted, lovely Christmas time story
Loved it! Miranda's works are so wonderfully written. This one was engaging and sweet. The main characters were so good together and had a lot to learn about their past lives. Side characters were great! The clever and humorous writing made me laugh out loud in places. A very nice story indeed and I highly recommend it.

The perfect holiday tale
If you live in a warm climate and seldom, if ever, get a chance to experience white Christmases, itโs nice to read a book about it. This one was delightfully charming and upbeat. I lived it. If you love reading about travel, or other places, this book is fantastic especially now when weโre relegated to stay safely at home. Cheers!

It were right grand.
I've been to Holmefirth, next to Holme, a few times, but never got that lucky in a pub. I'll have to cross the Penines a few more times and keep my fingers crossed. A great Christmas story.

Funny. Hard to put down
I really liked this story, gentle and romantic. I always feel that her charaters are well developed and I especially like the fact that she doesn't use implausible misunderstandings that go unchecked for pages and pages. Good read
