ProComm Rusty Ball Mount Barrel Spring
Purchased this Procomm SO-239 ball mount & heavy duty barrel spring thru Amazon and shipped on May 29, 2020. I received the ball mount & spring in June and installed it in June. I waxed the assembly including the barrel spring with Mothers Carnauba paste wax to protect the ball and spring from the elements. As of today, December 21, 2020, the barrel spring is showing rust over most of the suface, needless to say I'm very disappointed in this ProComm barrel spring and would not recommend that anyone purchase this product.

Its nice to have a coax socket to connect to instead ...
The mounting hardware is all of high quality. Its nice to have a coax socket to connect to instead of just a screw terminal also. The spring is a little weak if you're going to use it for a full sized 102 inch whip though. I would recommend a heavy duty SSM-3 spring in that case. Otherwise this one will do.
