needed more
Too short and rushed for my liking. Honestly, I wished it continued in book two, but it doesn't. The sex scenes were excellent, and I liked the concept of the story.

Dragons and mpreg
Awkward geeky omega guy Emery lives near a redwood forest. He’s out hiking one day sees something strange, stumbles onto a hidden cave. Finding several stone statues, he gives one a Snow White kiss and bam! Instant alive dragon, soulmates and omega heat sex. After that somewhat vague world building, Moms exploding curio shop, mysterious bad guys who may or not be govt.Mom calls geeky dragon expert acquaintance who has lots of Mcguyver gadgets.Emery is now a dragon shifter, pregnant and a target for unknown reasons.Lots of hot dragon soulmate sex. More avoidance and skirmishes with weird sort of magical enemy bad guys.Geek friend Sam moaning gloom and doom every few pages. Sparse references and planning to wake Cory’s guard dragons. While a cute story, it all felt “unfinished”, and like it could have been “more” if plot and characters had been fleshed out a little. Just my opinion. Not a bad story, just not memorable. I will probably go on to read next one though because I adore mpreg and hope next will build on first.

Can We Say Massive 'Overpopulation'?!?
I'm writing this after having read all four books in the series, and while I enjoyed them, they really lacked any type of forethought as to what the FUTURE of this entire storyline would entail.First off, let's point out that the authors seem to put this storyline into our modern world setting... yet, right from the start Emery is talking about being an Omega and having been poked and prodded when it was discovered... and how he talked to other Omegas online. However, NOT ONCE did the authors explain HOW or WHY there were human Alphas and Omegas in the world, nor the entire aspect of MALE pregnancy; instead they wrote as if everything was accepted and 'had always been'. Yet, the mere fact that Emery was poked and prodded by some form of government scientists when his being an Omega was discovered, it appears that Omegas and Alphas ARE NOT as common or 'had always been' as the authors casually let on; so there comes a major contradiction from the very start. As for the future that the authors didn't bother to contemplate... first off, it becomes known that Omegas come into heat twice a year and basically if they mate with an Alpha, they pretty much become pregnant EVERY TIME. So let's take our three dragon couples... you figure they have children every 1-1.5 years... so that's pretty much a child per year (not counting twins) per couple. Now dragons are long-lived, by hundreds of years... in 20 years they would have 20 children EACH... so that's 60 kids in 20 years (not counting twins)!! Now 100 years, that's 300 dragon children!!! Now if the children eventually start breeding within their family (since none of the couples are related), you're talking THOUSANDS of dragon children in a very short period of time!! Do you all see where I'm going with this?!? Apparently based on the reviews I've read, nobody else has contemplated this. The authors could have at least put in some sort of natural cooling off period, or some other means of population control. But according to how the authors wrote, if an Omega is in heat, the Alpha CANNOT not have sex with them and as pregnancy occurs EVERY TIME (how could it not considering how many times they have sex in a short period of time), this is the only conclusion; massive overpopulation in a very short period of time. Perhaps the villain of the story didn't have it so wrong... if this story was indeed true, dragons would be replacing humans in the very near future.

Shy man and a dragon!
Embry is an awkward young omega out hiking when something odd happens. He sees some young men walking past him but not acknowledging him. He curiously follows them to a cave but all he finds inside are five statues. He is moved to kiss one and he wakes up a dragon and shares a heart song. The alpha dragon seduces Embry as they are mates and so starts the introduction of a several thousand year old dragon to the modern world. There is danger, male pregnancy, and love. A good story but we still have four more dragons to awaken so I am eager to read the next book.

Good Book
**********Contains Spoilers**********I really enjoyed this story. I liked the connection between Emery and Cory and can’t wait to read more about them as the series goes on. I found it odd that Cory wasn’t more confused by the new world he’s woken up in considering nothing was the same as when he was put in Stasis. I liked the addition of Sam the Dragon Man and I’m looking forward to reading his book next. I’d recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.

Heartsong
What a really interesting Dragon shifter story! I really like the 'Human' with his psychic magic shop owner Mom. The klutzy young man makes the discovery of a lifetime in an unexplored cave he'd been inexplicably drawn to.One of his astonishing discoveries is a bona fide Dragon. His disbelief was quickly followed by being declared the Dragon's Heartsong. He finally found someone who made him feel loved and very special. The introduction of the Dragon expert Sam made me really appreciate the ingenuity of Hawke and Scott's storytelling skills. The impending menace of the man brings a level of suspense that keeps the reader entertained.
