NBA Jam - Xbox 360

If you are looking for a fun sports game then be sure to check out NBA Jam for the Xbox 360! I started playing NBA Jam at the arcades back in the '90s and was a huge fan. I also owned copies of NBA Jam and NBA Jam Tournament Edition for the Sega Genesis and played those a ton too back in the day.This new version of NBA Jam for the Xbox 360 has totally met my expectations and then some!It took me a couple of games to get good with the new control layout. It can be frustrating at first but I guess no more than a lot of other games out there. My kids (ages 7 and 10) were frustrated too when they started playing but I told them to stick with it and now they are playing great.The online play has been fun. It's not without some glitches but it works almost all of the time and each game only takes 12 mins to play so even if there is an error it is not like you waste a bunch of time.And speaking of 12 minutes per game, that's one of the things that makes NBA Jam so much better than a lot of games out there where you have to devote hours to each session. I like the fact that I can come home from work and play a few games, make some progress on my campaign, and then shut it down. No need to set aside hours for this game.I agree fully that playing against human opponents is the most fun. What others have written here is certainly true. But I find that playing the CPU is a lot too and trying to unlock all the accomplishments and secret players will keep me happy for many hours to come.

If you've played the original NBA JAM back in the day on Sega or SNES and loved it, then this is a must have! Graphics, commentator and game types improved with that same "razzle dazzle" from years ago. My only gripe was the $50 dollar price tag, which I refused to pay. I got it for $30 at Amazon.com during a promotion. Its a great, fun and exciting game but not worth a penny more than $30 dollars. Overall, glad to be Jamming Again!

A lot has already been said about this game.Just know that it's as much fun as you remember it.My only complaints are that some of the achievements seem to have been designed to force you to cheat, that it's not that easy to find people to play against online anymore and that you can't redefine the controls.Beyond that the game is still a lot of fun and a great buy at less than $20.

I received the game yesterday and it came in the plastic security case that needs to be taken off with a magnet or extreme measures. How did this happen?
