Finally!!!
As you can tell from the pic, I LOVE this scoop. I have bought others and absolutely hated them. My old one is cracked, duct taped, scotch taped and just barely holding together. I begged my husband to fiberglass it to try and fix it and he found this one for me. I have been looking for at least two years. My old one is about 10 years old. I almost bought two to make sure I could have another just in case.

Zero Spillage!!!
I love feeding the backyard birds! I hate feeding the back yard birds! Sounds confusing, I know, but understand: I love to watch the birds eat and I feel great to be able to provide them with a ready source of food year round here in Maine. I hate the process of filling the bird feeders because there is always SPILLAGE. And spillage leads to more SQUIRRELS. And squirrels don't like being outside in the winter, and they come in to the house through the eaves, cracks in the foundation...you name it. So until I found this product, I had a love/hate relationship with feeding the birds. This product is GREAT. I have had zero spillage since I started using it. I'm not kidding. Not less spillage, or even a lot less spillage...I've had ZERO spillage. And that has translated to fewer squirrels, more efficient use of seed, and a happier me!This is a product I wish I had thought of. It is so simple in its design and function. Scoop seeds with the wide open end, lift the scoop to the open feeder, and empty the seeds into the feeder by the narrow opening end. And if the narrow end fits inside the tube of your tube feeder, it'll even stop filling when the tube fills to the top. Scoop, lift, tilt...Scoop, lift, tilt...Scoop, lift, tilt. And just like that I filled my three bird feeders.Great product, great price, one of those rare things that actually does make your life a little bit easier.

The End of Messy Feeder Filling!
Yes, you can use a plastic cup to fill bird feeders. That doesn't make it the best way to fill them. This device scoops the seed, holds it in a way you are less likely to spill between the seed bag/can and the feeder, then efficiently fills everything from cylindrical feeders to "house" shaped feeders with no mess. Feeding the birds is a small luxury and we really enjoy seeing the different birds that come to snack. That said, birdseed can be expensive. This device makes it easy to fill our feeders and doesn't cost us extra in wasted birdseed. We had something similar to this from Wild Birds Unlimited but it reached the end of its lifespan. This looked quite similar and we ordered it. We were delighted to find that it incorporates a flat spot on the bottom of the "horn" so you can set it down if you need to. The last one was fully curved, so this is a good improvement. The plastic is pretty sturdy, so I believe it should last for years. (If it breaks, etc., I'll update the review.)If you feed the birds and enjoy the luxury of some pretty feathered friends coming to visit, make life a little easier and buy this - you'll get your money back by not spilling birdseed again!

Love this product!
So I am a crazy bird lady with 5 feeders and 3 suet cake holders...and I have to refill everyday. I had one of those funnel scoops that you then push in the button to release the seed. It was taking me longer than what I thought it should and then sometimes I would forget to push button back and would lose the seed. I was looking for something better and this was it! I was hesitant due to the shape and price but figured I could just return it if it didn’t work as stated but it’s great! So much easier to fill and way quicker. Definitely happy and now I just need something bigger and better to store my birdseed...

All one piece, no moving parts.
No parts to break. Seems very sturdy and all one piece, wide at one end and narrow at the other, with no moving parts. I have used scoops before, but most are too wide for tube feeders. My previous scoop/filler was a good design, wide scoop and narrow filler tube, but connected by sliding plastic that eventually broke. This one was much more expensive than other scoops designed to fill tube feeders, but I am hoping it will be worth it.

Non-fussy seed scoop. Durable.
This is a non-fussy, easy to use seed scoop. Durable!Or as I like to call it... "THE SEED HORN OF DOOM!"It's sturdy. Has a flat bottom so you can rest it on the ground.Takes a little getting used to - at first seed was coming out the big end when I was trying to scoop seeds out of my seed bag, but I soon got the hang of it. I store this in the giant metal garbage can I have outside for all my critter-feeding supplies.I like how there's not a flap or thing you have to push to let out the seeds - I imagine that's just an unnecessary part that would be prone to breaking. It can also be used as a fun megaphone to summon your husband, should the desire hit you. A fun fringe benefit because he comes running, all annoyed after I call to him through my SEED HORN OF DOOM!

Brilliant design
Game-changer! This is the very best scoop I've used for bird seed. It has a flat bottom so you can out it down while full without spilling anything.
