Wolf gone by by
Jamie couldn't shift and had not for four years. But she had to fight to control her. Danti ignored her most of the time, but she couldn't ignore him. She tried to keep her feelings for him under control. She got wet every time he was near her. He was such a controlling ads wipe. He couldn't figure her out. She didn't run with the pack ever and he didn't know why. So, he started to harass her. He knew something was just off with her until one night she snapped at him. He was arguing with her about her car not being safe. She put him on his ass on the ground and projected dominaring waves. Not good when she was supposed to be a submissive. Oops! Danti didn't tell anyone else about it when he should have told his alpha. It was their secret, for now. But he kept hounding her wanting to know what she was hiding. He couldn't stop himself from wanting her. But she was part of his pack and he didn't play fast and loose. And he didn't do relate ever. He finally slipped one night and found himself with her in the parking garage. She was wet and tight and hotter than he could believe. That started a change reaction for him. He wanted her for more than just one night. But she was pretending not to notice him anymore. And that irritated Danti to distraction. You don't know what you've got until it's gone. This book is about how they finally got together and how they changed each other. It is definitely for adults only! I listened to the audio book instead of reading it. You get a better feeling for the characters and what they are going through. But then again, I love audiobooks! I recommend this book in either form. To each their own.

4.5 Sinfully Sexy Stars!
Despite having had a crush on Dante Garcea since she was a child, wolf shifter Jaime Farrow figures that it’s time to move on. After all, a female has her pride. If he'd wanted her, he wouldn’t have ignored her flirtatious behavior. He’d made it clear through his indifference that he had zero interest in her, and chasing after a guy who doesn’t want her isn't Jamie's idea of fun. Besides, she has much bigger issues to worry about. At just twelve years old, she'd witnessed her parents’ murder and her wolf—frightened, anxious, angry—had surfaced to protect her. Afterward, her wolf had been too distressed and defensive to ease back or understand that the attack was over, and it wasn't until three weeks later that Jaime had been able to shift back into her human form. That night had left her wolf damaged and nothing she had ever done had been able to heal her wolf.Like an abused animal, her wolf was distrustful, easily provoked, and quick to anger. So, since that night, whenever Jamie had shifted, she’d done it alone, and had never encountered a problem...until four years ago when she'd come across another wolf while on a run. The consequences had been bad enough that she'd seen no choice but to form a cage around her wolf, a cage so impenetrable that it prevented her wolf from surfacing. But over the years her wolf has become stronger and stronger—fueled by her anger at being confined. Now it's become a constant battle of wills between them. A battle that Jaime has to win. Because if her wolf becomes close to gaining the upper hand, she'll have to leave her pack—she won't ever risk turning rogue and hurting her packmates. As the pack Beta, Dante doesn't have the space or time in his life for a relationship. He's more than just his Alpha’s right-hand man. He's responsible for giving advice on political matters and he acts as a go-between for his Alpha when negotiating matters with other packs. He's also responsible for the protection and safety of the entire pack. He's the mind behind the plans and strategies, and the one who trains and commands the enforcers. As Beta, he gets his hands dirty doing the jobs that no one else wants—particularly interrogating and executing enemies. Every day, he spends time patrolling pack territory with whichever enforcers are on duty, milling through paperwork or making important calls to lessen his Alpha's workload, and being an ear for any member of the pack who has problems to address. But from the second Jamie had appeared on pack territory, Dante wanted her. When they were kids, she had followed him around like a lost little kitten, trailing after him like he was the answer to all her problems. He'd expected that her crush would have died by now, but she had made her interest in him clear with bright smiles, subtle touches, and heated looks. Yet he had no intention of responding to her interest. But when her flirtations abruptly end, Dante finds that he doesn’t like losing her attention and begins to suspect that she's hiding something. Determined to uncover Jamie's secret, he sets out to break through her defenses, even though being around her intensifies his cravings for her. But what he discovers is a problem that most members of the pack are convinced not even a powerful Beta, like himself, can solve. The second installment in the Phoenix Pack series contains just the right amount of erotic romance, action and suspense to keep the reader fully engaged in the storyline. Dante and Jamie were both very likable characters who complemented each other well. In the beginning, they were both a bit emotionally closed off, but the conflicts throughout the story strengthened each of them individually, as well as a couple. As with Taryn and Greta in Feral Sins, I thoroughly enjoyed the witty, snarky banter between Jamie and her Alpha's grandmother. “I wish the wizard had lived up to his promise and given you a heart.” ... “If you don’t want to listen to it, by all means, go back to Narnia. I’d imagine you’re missing your wand and crown anyway.” Overall, Wicked Cravings is a sinfully sexy, fast-paced, dramatic read with plenty of humor and a satisfying HEA that will leave you wanting more!

Beta romance for the Phoenix shifter pack
This was a predictable but mostly likeable shifter romance that continues the story of the Phoenix pack started in Feral Sins (you don't need to have read that book to start off with, but it was great so if you didn't like that one, you probably won't like this installment).Although I continued to love the character of Dante, I found Jaime lacking. Whereas Dante was strong and possessive while acknowledging his faults, I found Jaime obnoxious. I think some of her lines were supposed to be sassy and witty, but I didn't find her endearing, unfortunately, and it all became a bit repetitive. She was entertaining to start with, but her charm fell by the wayside for me about a third of the way into the book. I don't know if it's because I found her to be a bit of a try-hard Taryn wannabe, or she just genuinely became annoying, but she grated on my nerves for a lot of the novel. Greta fell along the same lines - same old, same old. Not funny, but annoying and at times, just plain nasty and unlikable in the story. There was a lot of extra drama added in from Jaime where there was back and forth angsty, whiny, woe-is-me crap because of her problems with her wolf and failing to trust herself in a relationship. This was repeated often, as was her constant state of arousal and, for want of a better word, wetness. For such as strong female, her complete lack of a spine when it came to controlling her lust was unbelievable. I got it - Dante was a great hunk of a beta, but this just seemed to go on to the point it made her (and some of the story line) seem a bit pathetic. A major chunk of this book's story line also involved past lovers of Dante's. This made the plot pretty predictable as the jealous ex/current girlfriend has been done to death, so it was a bit frustrating that this was the main twist throughout. The other characters from Book One continued to feature in this story. It was for the most part a good read, although I didn't enjoy it as much as the first. I feel terrible for writing something even slightly negative about one of Suzanne Wright's books because she is a goddess, but I just wanted Jamie to get over herself a bit by the end and for the story to develop a bit more. Luckily, Dante was delicious and kept me in the game :) I'll still read the third book in this series.

Oh god so much emotion.
I really got emotional reading this book. I cried when Dante expressed his love to Jamie. Oh God, can I say that it's even more beautiful and overwhelming than Trey's and Taryn's story.I can't wait for Shaya's book.

Wonderfully wicked
Jamie has switched to the Phoenix pack, the pack her long-time crush just happens to be a member of; unfortunately for Jamie, Dante just isn’t interested in her. Or at least that’s what she over hears him telling Trick. He’s not as disinterested as he makes out though, and he’ll only be able to hold out for so long once he finds the perfect excuse to keep her close. Things won’t go smoothly between them though, not with Jamie keeping secrets, and with a one night stand claiming to be Dante’s true mate. Thankfully neither of them has any interest in finding their mates or imprinting on another.Jamie and Dante’s story is heart-breaking and beautiful. Jamie is hiding quite the secret and once it’s revealed she feels she has no option but to leave. While she might not be sure of Dante or his intentions, she needs him if she’s to strengthen herself enough to keep her wolf contained. He’s willing to fight for her, even when she’s ready to give up. Jamie is such a loveable character. She’s sweet, bubbly and has a big heart, but what I love most about her is the fact that she loves animals. Not only does our Jamie work at an animal shelter but she adopted a cat – Hunk- who seems to have been abused in the past. The ugly cat seems to dislike Dante as much as Dante dislikes him, which is amusing. There’s no love lost between the two of them and my favourite quote (below) from this book actually highlights this.If there’s a moto for this story it’s possibly ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,’ as Dante has some crazy exes out there and they are the cause for much of the tension in the book. I want to feel sorry for Dante but then I think he might just be the kind of guy that attracts the crazies. He says he likes his women feisty, not crazy, but it would seem his history with women speaks differently. Even Jamie, who prefers to be called spirited, could be labelled as being a little crazy. It’s no wonder Dante has a kinky side, I’m sure he’s had to restrain more than one of his partners in the past. I’ll let you discover just how good he is with the kink, for yourself.Quote:“If you were a stray kitten, I’d give you a kick up the ass and walk away.”She did a double take. “You’d kick a kitten?”“I’d kick Hunk if I didn’t think the gremlin would eat my foot.”Suggested Audience: Adult readers of Paranormal RomancePerspective: Third person, with a focus on Jamie and DanteProfanity: FrequentSexual content: Frequent and explicitViolence: Frequent and severeCautionary element(s): Attempted rape and torture

Jaime with her brother switched to the Phoenix pack, the pack her long-time crush - Dante happens to be a member of, unfortunately for Jaime, Dante just isn’t interested in her, or at least that is how it seems until she no longer pays him the attention he is used to. Both have things from the past that they need to confront if they are to have any chance of the future together, they also have to watch out for those eager to rip them apart. No matter how much I read this Dante's attitude early in the book (luckily it doesn't last long) when it comes to what he sees as Jaime's crush on him, always annoys me.I've lost count of how many times I've read this, and it still remains an enjoyable read. This time round I did skip some of the sex scenes, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

A Step back in the series! disappointed!
I truly loved the first Suzanne wright book, feral sins, in the Phoenix Pack series and gave it a five star review. this second instalment however was disappointing.the story was ok, but the pace of the book was off. it started pretty good but ran out of steam in several places. the last book I couldn't put down it was a total page turner, this one not so much.I liked the characters to a point, but as a couple there was something that just didn't gel for me. Dante's character seemed far more appealing in the first book than in his own story. Jamie, the female lead, also seemed like a wannabe Taryn from the first book. I don't think that the characterisation in this book was developed at all well, with only the characters from the first book being the most entertaining. evidently I fear that if I hadn't read the first book I would of perhaps enjoyed this one even less. my advise would be to read the first book before this one!I think it would have been better if the author had done shaya and nick's story before this one so we could have been introduced to the female lead and her interactions with Dante. it would have provided more substance to their story. however, nick and shaya's story is next.there were still some good humour in the book, but again it wasn't as funny as the first. I would have loved to have seen more of the grandmother Greta as she is truly the star in these books for me.I will still persevere with this series as it has so much potential and the first book really was top class. i just hope that the next book is to the standard of the first. 3 stars.

★Review★I am really enjoying this series. Now tbf, it did seem a bit TOO similar to book one. Feisty sarcastic strong heroine with a problem with her wolf. Super Alpha hero with hidden depths and trauma. Not actually recognising your true mate. Sarcastic and tetchy relationship between heroine and Greta....BUT, I am still really loving it. It is a funny engaging series that is hugely enjoyable. The situation toward the end had me worried and wondering how it would be fixed, and I almost shed a tear myself along with Dante, but ofc it all comes good.★Book Basics★Genre : - Paranormal RomanceSeries : - 2nd in the series - First in the series should be read first.Love triangle? - NoCheating? - NoHEA? - YesWould I read more by this author/or in this series? - YesRating - 5
