Will this unit play regular CD's? Much of the lingo is a bit foreign to me regarding converting ATRAC and ATRAC+CD and the need to convert mp3's. Is it that compacted? I just want to listen to my CD's and Mp3 CD's. I could get a bit more savy I guess...but I'm not into getting complicated...Am I making too much of this…

Are you talking about the CD player/mp3 I bought from you? Yes, this unit plays regular CD's. I don't know yet regarding converting ATRAC and ATRAC + CD and the need to convert mp3's. I don't know if it is compacted.

Does this unit have an equalizer and what choices?

Hi Jerome. No it doesn't have an equalizer, but you can change the bass level by pressing the Sound button. -Anthony

Does this have speakers? Or do you have to use headset?

You must use a headset to play as is; if you have the right connectors and cabling, can provide input to separate sound system (receiver and speakers).

Does this have resume play where you left off for audio books?

Hi Tillman, This walkman has a resume play function as long as you use a disc. You may refer to page 29 (resume function) for more information: https://docs.sony.com/release//DNE510.PDF ~Ralph
