Lightweight, modern, and works well for casual use
This isn't really a portable turntable, though it's small and lightweight. I put it on a shelf and bought speakers, as these are good but don't have the bass sound I wanted with some of my more recent rap and R&B albums. I would certainly recommend it to a beginner or more casual listener, as the sound is nice and it looks lovely in a room. The plastic top is really a bonus since it keeps it dust-free while still showing off the mechanism. It also prevented my cat from ruining it for a time. I only tried to use the conversion feature once, but it took so long and made a file I had to split. I often used the USB feature to play songs, however, and played 45's with the adapter. I would have used it more and much longer had my cat not knocked it down and destroyed it. It broke easily from a 2.5-3 foot fall. I ended up buying another which latched and was a bit heavier, since my cat is the destroyer of worlds.

Easy to use but lacks features and options
Pro's:• Affordable• The needle arm works great. Very smooth and slow to go up and down, avoiding the accidental scratching• Lightweight, but I wouldn't classify it as "portable" since it doesn't function as a suitcase (which I actually avoided buying)• Three speed options• Record audio directly to a USB (but you will need to name the files later on an actual computer). Recording is extremely easy though, just one button• Playing from USB is a nice feature and easy to use• The buttons themselves, although plastic, feel solid and have a satisfying "click"• The wood/black/silver is stylish• Audio is very clear (read Con's too though)Con's• Almost no bass in the audio• No direct speaker ports. It has to connect via RCA's which then can expand to other speakers. I tried connecting some computer speakers that use RCA directly to the unit and no sound came out, which is very sad as that was something I hoped would work.• No Bluetooth support. Not a deal breaker but would have been a "nice-to-have"• No AM/FM audio• No headphone port• No Aux port for external music• No remote. Not a big deal, but with the ability to play from USB, it would be another "nice-to-have"

Vintage look and perfect size for our living space
We had been looking at vintage record players because we wanted to start listening to the vinyls my parents had that I had listened to growing up and sharing that with our kids. When this item came up as the Deal of the Day, it was hard to pass up. It was a better size for our living space than an original stereo player would have been, the price was right, and I like the vintage look that is has. It works perfect for our family's needs and we've even started our own vinyl collection (in addition to my parents').

I bought two
I have purchased two of these, one for my daughter, and one for my grandson. They both love the style, and the simplicity of it, it is so easy to use, and you get the "feel" of a record player. Added USB and Bluetooth features. It is great value for money!!

Horrible..
Plays too slow, making music sound warped. Cannot adjust speed.

so frustrated and disappointed
When Imake an electronics purchase, in general I want and or expect things to work and not be a complete and utter waste of money. I bought this player in April as it was on sale. I bought it as a Christmas gift. It's been boxed on my shelf several months. Straight out of the box, it does not even turn on. I was wanting to play some old records for the family for the holidays, no unable to return it, it's just an expensive paperweight. This will probably be my last electronics purchase on Amazon seeing as how this isn't the first absolute dud.

Sent new turntable to replace unit broken just past one month.
Update: The company sent us a new unit free of charge and it works like a champ. Many thanks to 1byone for reaching out to offer us a new turntable and send it out. We are very pleased now. Many Thanks.--------------------It broke just past one month. Speakers produce crackle noise, if at all. The return period is over, so now we're stuck with a piece of trash and out $60 bucks.

NO SOUND
No sound! I had it hooked up to speakers when I first purchased. Now it won't play without speakers. The internal speakers just don't work. It may not play WITH external speakers now. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Great Start-up Turntable
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is an amazing product. I am an avid record player enthusiast and this is exactly good choice. It is very versatile and sounds great! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! It has a speaker that is loud enough. It does have a volume control according to your liking. The quality of the sound is good for its price. The built quality is good,

Skips playing new Records
Thought this would be a good starter player for my 12 year old daughter, initially it seemed ok playing OLDER records, but with any new or modern records it will skip. Tried a bunch of different albums and seems consistent with the comments, old play ok, new not so much. Sound is like a pop can in addition, look for something of a higher price point otherwise you will be disappointed.

Vraiment surpris de la qualité sonore parfait pour chambre ce n’est pas fait pour être utilisé comme système de son mais pour écouter des vinyles en tranquillité
