Cuisinart ICE-45CRM Mix Serve 1.5-Quart Soft Service Ice Cream Maker, Cream

My 14 year old daughter saw this product in a video online and asked if we could get it. I was a little nervous to pay $100+ for it when I read some of the reviews. But did it anyways. So glad we bought it. I will say we failed twice with trying it with the basic recipe that comes with it. I found that you can buy soft serve mix. So that’s what I did! I was able to get a 6lb bag of chocolate mix and a 6lb bag of vanilla mix at Gordon Food Service. The brand is called Frostline. Using that mix takes 1 cup mix to 2 cups liquid. I use whole milk and water. You’ll have soft serve ice cream in 15 minutes. And it makes plenty!!This machine is so fun! Great purchase - once I found the ingredients to make it work. We’ve made a batch each evening. Happy Summer!

Fantastic countertop treat. Don't be thinking you can pull this out of the box and make ice cream. Read the instructions, you will need to prechill your bowl and your mix before rocking the tasty treats. I definately failed because I rushed the steps the first time.The device is inexpensive and must be treated with a little care. We broke a gear in the lid and had to replace it. All in all a really good option for someone to make inexpensive soft server at home. I have already recommended it to friends who have purchased their own.

This product is amazing! I have always loved soft serve ice cream and i have always wanted a soft serve machine. This one is awesome, it’s easy to use, easy to clean and simple recipes. You have to make adjustments the first couple of times and watch the ice cream closely after 10 mins to make sure you get soft serve but once you figure out the length of time it took to make it the way you like it, it’s a breeze. In 12 mins i get soft serve with mix-ins if i choose them. I definitely recommend this product to anyone!

The media could not be loaded.  It's easy to clean it works good just got to put your bowl in the freezer for over 6hr before use and the candy despers don't work

Takes a while to make ice cream but it's really good.

This product allows for about a 5 minute window to dispense (20 mins from starting), where the ice cream is too soft to hold shape for cones, yet too thick for the machine and it oozes out all over. Design flaw does not allow for proper cleaning on the slide in spout piece. This machine is only good for a VERY short lived dispensing ability and when serving kids, only about 3-4 mini bowls per cycle. Extremely disappointed in this as it certainly did not work as expected from the product description.

We love it. I make ice cream a lot. Just wish I would of ordered it sooner.
