Used on a 7.3 powerstoke for the max a/c mod. I believe my blend door is missing foam and letting the heater core work against the evaporator but this will counteract the problem. With this and a F coupler for the vaccum line signal off the fresh air actuator I am able to have 40°F ac at the vents.

Many cars like my dodge caravan do not have this valve. Most cars like my caravan have a heater door to block off the heat . But that is not a good way to block off the heat. Because of that problem my A/C is never very cold. After I added the valve, so the coolant would not flow through the heater core, the A/C is much cooler.

This is a WEAK LINK in Ford's design. I have replaced 3 of them now. It does not matter who you buy it from, they last about 50,000 miles or 2-3 years.Even though they are firmly supported by brackets on all 4 heater hoses, they still crack, again and again.
