Easy to install, looks great in my shower.

This was a perfect fit for our new shower/ very heavy duty! Worth every cent!

This shelf unit was installed in our new shower as it was being constructed with Swanstone walls. Looks nice and matched the walls perfectly

I've installed many of these units in my homes and it's easy to install, very easy to keep clean, and looks good. The surface does not absorb stains. The tile folks like them because it makes it easier to cut the tile around the unit, since it goes over the tile edge. It does require installation in a minimum 2x4 wall. Very happy with this unit.

I love it but there is one problem, as others have stated. It is very strong - not flimsy at all. The flange around it gives plenty of coverage on the left and right sides so you will have plenty of silicone to prevent water intrusion into your wall. However, the flange on the top and bottom are not flat - there are thick caverns in them so you're left with only about 2 strips of 1/16" material in contact with the wall. It's not really enough for me to feel safe that there won't be water intrusion on the top or bottom. I'll address this by filling in those holes with caulk.

Shower

We added this Swanstone recessed niche to a client project that was a glue-up wall application. not a swanstone solution. Still looked great. Bought this in January of 2023 for $198, I know it was pricey athen, but it was a good solution for the space we had to work with. Fast forward two months later, another project, similar in scope and the price of this item jumped to $232. Almost a 20% increase. SMH

Looks perfect with white subway tile. My husband loved the easy installation and saved him from tiling a niche. Great product.
