Versatile Solution for Utility Rooms - Tips for Installing
This utility room solution saved my family a bit of money, since the only solutions we had seen until this product were the modular products designed for garages. That had two disadvantages, one being a sharp increase in price to get the configuration we were looking for and the second being that we would have an obvious garage solution in our laundry area. We actually liked the cream and orange color, since it complemented some wall decorations we had in the vicinity. The hanging of the product on the wall was non-trivial, but straightforward. The following are a few suggestions:1. The back bracket with the level is not meant to go in the middle on the unit once it is secured to the wall.2. The back bracket will likely end up on the left side if any of the bar is extended. If you are measuring space, account for that in your measurements or else the unit may not fit properly in the space.3. There is an interior plastic cap for the metal sliding bar, which is why the back bracket will end up on one side or the other.4. When you are estimating the location to place the place the second plastic brace (at the end of sliding bar farthest from the back bracket), be sure to factor in the metal bar sliding over it along with the colored end cap. If you place it too far out, the bar may look different than expected once mounted.5. I used metal drywall anchor screws in place of the pack in plastic drywall screws. The pack in anchors appear to be designed for the screw to carve out grooves as the screws are being put into the wall. The metal anchors were substituted since there will be repetitive pressure put on the bracket over time.Other tips:1. The metal scratches easily, so take care not to have too much contact when sliding the camlocks into position.2. If you push up while trying the insert or lift out a handle, that will make it easier to do with one hand. All in all this has been a solid product, and does exactly what we were hoping for in a compact space with a clean look.

Don't be intimidated, getting this is worth it!
Like many reviewers have said, this is a little complicated to mount. You need to sit down and read through the directions, it's not intuitive like you'd expect (or want). It sat around for several months after it arrived because I was intimidated by the instructions but once we read them it was up in maybe 20 minutes or less and that includes getting out the tools, etc. (that part took the longest) All that being said, once it's up it stays up and holds a lot of weight! It's not one of those flimsy ones that's going to wear out on you. It's probably going to still be up and working in 50 years. I love it, and I'd buy another one if I ever need it. I wish so much that it came in a stainless steel color or even just in black and white. I'm giving it 4 stars because the orange just doesn't do it for me.

Ideal for mop/broom storage, but maddeningly complicated
I'm still not sure why this has so many parts! The unit is a plastic over aluminum set of sliding broom handle hangers with little hooks for dusters or other small items. It's sturdy and holds well, although I would like to see color offer that isn't oxo orange. To install this you must take it completely apart and mount a plastic plate with screws. What is not obvious is that it does not center on the plate when expanded. I installed mine on the back of a door and had to remove it and reposition the plate to get the unit to expand evenly. This may be addressed in the directions but it seemed intuitive, so there it is.Once you get the thing attached, it works well and is fairly easy to use. Items stay put and lift off without a lot of effort. I do wonder if I'd have been better off with a rail and some ikea hooks, though.

Good Product - Two Important Tips
Easy to install IMO, once you read the instructions carefully, but not that intuitive unfortunately. Two tips:1) Left side of rail has a throwaway grey end piece that must be removed to install the actual end piece trim. Weird. Not sure why they did that, and more importantly, the instructions do not mention it.2) Many brooms and other implements have a coat of poly or paint so it is too smooth to hold well in the cam holders. To make the cam holder work as intended, sand poly-coated broom handles with some 150 grit or so sandpaper so they hold nicely.3) The rail would not "click" onto the mounting piece. Apply a tiny bit of some lubricant first, such as vaseline or even butter or margarine, and it will click into place.

Can't hang broom with one hand
This sucker is tricky to install, but it looks good once it's there. I installed mine in the narrow space between the fridge and the wall, where I keep my brooms and such. Here's the thing...it will really hold your broom, that is not a problem. But if your broom stick has a handle or other feature on the end that makes it wider than the pole itself, you can't put it in this thing with one hand, at least at an angle (since it's in that narrow space, I can't approach it head on, I am trying to hang the brooms at an angle). Since the gripper springs are so strong, the easiest way to insert a broom would be by pushing it up into the gap from the bottom. All mine have a wider handle on the top, so they wouldn't fit using this method. I had to reach up and open the gripper with one hand and place the broom with the other. In the end, that was a deal breaker, so I took it down. I may find another place for it where I can approach it from the front, but I feel this is important for people to know going in.

Very Poor Quality
TERRIBLE quality. Canโt even stay up on itโs own - let alone with the weight of a simple swiffer. Poor quality with mounting bracket - the โmountโ is too small so the outside just pops off. Overall quality is very flimsy - dollar store quality.
