Still a good automatic pool cleaner.
Aquabots are great pool cleaners, but they don't last long. If you use it regularly be prepared to invest significant money in repairs or to replace just after the warranty expires. The Turbo T I purchased is a replacement for an older version of this model and there have been some needed improvements (cable, power supply). The cleaning logic is a bit different, but it still does a good job. The 2-way remote is useless.

Very Poorly Engineered Product! TOY REMOTE! TERRIBLE LYING AD! Just a waste of time & $$!!
I purchased this 'product' and had it shipped 2-day to get my pool prepared for this weekend. I paid over $1300 for this thing. I paid extra money for a remote control model - I need to be able to control the cleaner for spot cleaning - and the item arrived from Amazon today. I read the entire manual cover to cover. I followed all instructions the company put in their manual.I connected everything, put a battery in the remote control, extended the antenna on my power unit, and put the POS in the pool - being careful to get all the air out before it settled to the bottom of the shallow end of my pool.I turned it on and it looked great. It went right to the other side of the pool, climbed the wall, and started cleaning the waterline as advertised. This was the very last time I would ever see this thing anywhere near the waterline. The remote control is so cheaply made I would expect it to be used with a child's toy. It has 2 buttons that are nearly impossible to use. But the worst thing is that when a button here is finally pushed nothing happens. Nothing at all. The remote control does not work at all in any way.For anyone considering buying a robotic pool cleaner I would suggest another brand - unless you enjoy returning heavy packages through UPS and waiting for a refund. All I wanted was a product that does what it's advertised to do. But instead I got this POS.UPDATE: I have returned this product to Amazon and purchased another brand of pool robot, (with which I am very, very satisfied), and I'm waiting for my full refund. The reason I purchased this from Amazon was for this very reason - they always stand behind the products they sell and if there's something wrong, (like there is with this thing), Amazon has always done the right thing and refunded the customer's money. I don't return things often but when I have Amazon kept me a very satisfied customer. This is a very expensive item, at least to me, so I'll keep you all updated on how this transaction goes. I made sure to return this item in pristine condition, completely cleaned and including all the crappy parts right down to the plastic bags and packing material. I've shipped it insured UPS 2-day. Other than the horrible design and the fact that this thing doesn't even come close to doing what the ads say it will, there's nothing at all wrong with the unit. I took pictures just to make sure...but I'm confident Amazon will honor their return policy. I avoided buying this thing from anyone except Amazon for just this reason.Final Update: Just as I thought...if you're ever going to buy something and you feel like you're taking a chance that the product may not be as good as the ad says - ALWAYS BUY IT FROM AMAZON! Amazon, once again, has stood behind its promises and has refunded 100% of my money that I paid for this completely crappy product. I specifically bought from Amazon just because there was a chance this thing might not work right - and I'm very glad I did!If you're looking for a pool cleaner - DON'T BUY AN AQUABOT - buy a Polaris 9300 Sport. Mine is still doing exactly what was advertised while the Aquabot suffers from very poor engineering and very misleading advertising. I hate to think what would have happened if I had bought this thing from a retailer or EBay or ANYWHERE except Amazon.Amazon.com has another happy customer...Aquabot? Well, maybe a little more research and development for your product and a lot less lying in your ads would help your company in both reputation and revenue.

Great Cleaner
I bought a different aquabot in 2009 and it worked great for 5 years until it got a short in the cord. I figured by the time I ship it and get the cord replaced and some other parts replaced I could just buy a new one. The new one has not disappointed me at all. I have a 22,000 gallon kidney shaped pool and it cleans the entire pool in about 1-2 hrs. Yes, it misses a few spots but show me a cleaner that doesn't. I was worried it wouldn't clean as good as the first one but it actually seems to clean better. I can't say I am impressed with the remote but the model with the remote was actually about $50 cheaper so i thought I wuld give it a try. This cleaner cleans especially well here in Oklahoma where the Cottonwood trees have been dropping large amounts of cotton and we have hseveral leaves in the pool due to sad

Works like a charm!
Although not many reviews on this item on this site, overall investigation showed that this was a reliable product as Pool Cleaners go.Installation was extremely easy: 1) Open box, 2) plug in transformer and cord from cleaner, 3) adjust handle, 4) drop in pool to let out air bubbles, and 5) start it. The cleaner moved around the pool for a couple of hours and cleaned every leaf and the significant amount of dirt that had accumulated at the bottom of the pool. We've used it a couple more times and so far, it works as good as I could have expected. No problems at all. Not sure why the other reviewer experienced so many difficulties.

While initially a good performer, the performance declined rapidly as the belts ...
I'm writing this review 3.5 years after purchase. This unit has been a constant headache. I'm guessing it's around 200$ per year for belts, tracks, replacement wheel tube etc, and now a new motor which is another 400$. I've moving on. While initially a good performer, the performance declined rapidly as the belts wore, and then the tracks and then the brushes and then a new filter. And despite replacements it stopped cleaning the whole pool. And finally, 6 months out of warranty, the motor fails. And this is our 2nd Aquatron product. The first was a Series 500 Verro that had pump failure after 1.5 years and the motor pin sheared just after the 3 year mark and I walked away from that constant headache only to buy another. And don't expect Aquatron to help you out. When the warranty expires they don't want to talk to you. Their service center here in SoCal said this story is typical of Aquatron products. Buyer BEWARE.

This is a piece of junk!!!!!
I have had an aquabot for about 10 years and loved it. Unfortunately it needed replaced. I researched as many do and was on the fence. AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT I chose the Turbo TRC. Who wants to literally get down into the pool to start it. My other you would just throw in and it would run. This thing gets confused and flips over and just floats. It does a rotten job at cleaning the pool. I have to use the remote control almost constantly......wow that is fun!!! Just a terrible product and am STUCK WITH IT and am not happy
