My daughter selected this for me with my hip surgery. I can not begin to tell you what a vast help this set has been!!!! The leg lift is a must-have with leg/knee/hip surgery!! It's strong and completely reliable. The handles are ideal for getting your leg up into bed or onto a chair. I am using it constantly!! The grabber is a very well built and is huge help too. I would NEVER of thought about the sock puller but they put you in these leg compression sox and I would never have been able to put that on with out it!! Don't go to surgery without this kit!!

This also is very helpful for people with BACK issues! You can use items to help get your socks, shoes , and other clothing on. Shower scrubee helps with those hard to reach places! And...if you need to, you can reach your dropped washcloth with your handy grabber. Great price for this kit!

Recently had hip surgery. Everything else in the kit was fine. Grabber took broke after a week.

Loved every bit of it

I was told to purchase a hip kit by my doctor. After my surgery, I used the loofah on a stick, the grabber/reacher, and that's it. I didn't need the other items. I wish that I had looked at what the kit included more closely prior to purchasing. I don't use the leg lifter or the long shoe horn or the back scratcher. The quality of the loofah was a C-. It won't last long. The reacher works great. In fact, I purchased a second one to help with doing laundry. Overall, I wish I had not purchased the whole kit as I don't need it. I am wearing slip on shoes until I can tie my own shoes, or else my significant other helps me.

I've just had a hip replacement. This kit is absolutely invaluable. But special praise for the sock gadget which works fantastically. It is usually impossible after surgery to put compression stocking on by yourself. With this brilliant gadget you can. Worth the price for this alone!

I purchased this prior to having a hip replacement and was waiting to see how effective it was before writing a review - now 6 weeks post op - the first two weeks were pretty brutal and I needed help so didn't use this then. So this review reflects the 4 weeks of use after that. Conclusion - brilliant ! So pleased with it. (1) A lot of grabbers are pretty 'indifferent'/imprecise/weak but not the one in this kit, which is precise and grabs firmly. It's a joy to use. You can even use it to pull/push your docks off. (2) sock 'putter-on'. I was dubious as it looked like a cross between a skipping rope and a chute. How wrong was I. It's amazing and works perfectly. So pleased as it's really frustrating otherwise to ask for help to put on a sock on the foot of your operate leg. If, like me, you end up wondering why it has a foam rectangle stuck on its underneath - this serves a natty purpose as it prevents your sock sliding off the unit when you load it up with a sock and then start to put your fit in. Genius ! (3) Back 'loofa on a stick'. Great quality and does exactly as you'd hope. Really good as you can feel a little unstable in a shower so need to be careful and ensure a non slip mat. (4) leg lift eg for getting into bed - haven't used that as I managed without it but can see the point as it is hard to do at the start and worse if your muscles are weak. Based on experience with the other items I'd infer that it would aid, but .. So, yes, very well worth buying and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
