This little carpet sweeper does more then it looks like it should! I moved into a small place with my cat, and have all hard floors, except for one big rug in my bedroom. A big vacuum doesn't make sense, and sweeping the rug with a regular broom was leaving more dirt than it was getting off of the rug. I remember my aunt had a similar carpet sweeper when I was a kid, so thought I'd give this one a try. I'm so glad I did! My cat tracks litter onto the rug, plus there's always debris that I'm tracking in as I forget to take my shoes off. Not to mention it's covered in crumbs from my incessant snacking. This little sweeper took care of it all with just a few swipes. The attached photo show before and after, the "after" being just five or six back-and-forth passes over the area. Other good things: It's super lightweight, as in "lift it with one hand" light, but sturdy. The handle required simple assembly that took about one minute, but with all the threads it feels really strong. The small size is a bonus, it takes little space to store. It's easy and simple to empty. And it works. All in all a good purchase, and if you have a rug that looks disgusting like mine was starting to, go for it! I highly recommend. (One note, if you have a pet, be careful when you empty it, because it picks up a metric ton of staticky hair and you might get some on you!

The handle is a little short for anyone over 5'2" and it doesn't pick up as well as i had hopped but it's ok for a quick sweep in-between vacuumings

I have been the morning custodian at a sports bar for the past 13 years and they have had many vacuums to clean the rugs in that time. I usually get frustrated and simply sweep it with a stiff bristle broom, but that is so time consuming. I bought this with my own money to use for my convenience. The first morning, the carpet didn't appear very dirty, yet, I emptied the sweeper THREE times. I couldn't believe how much dirt, hair and tiny bits it picked up. The second day was close to the same scenario. Initially it appeared fairly clean, but I ended up emptying the sweeper TWICE. Same story on day three. The little cleaning brush provided to clear the rotating bristles works really well and it conveniently stores on the handle, so I always have it when I need it. With no motor, there is no ear piercing sound during use and the sweeping motion is so smooth, how could you not love it. I bring the sweeper with me to and from work every day, It's lightweight and fits neatly in my SUV. I LOVE this sweeper and highly recommend it to anyone with a flat (low) carpet. you, too will be amazed at how much dirt is hiding in your carpet. The price is right and well worth every penny. my package arrived quickly and I am so pleased.

I had to write a review because I was pretty impressed with this little sweeper. I bought a new rug at Amazon. I love the rug, but the problem is that it is so light weight, that when I try to run the vacuum over it, it just sucks right up and clogs the powerful vacuum. I thought, how am I supposed to clean this rug if I can't vacuum it? I didn't want to return it, so while weighing my options I remebered the little push sweeper like my grandmother used to have and wondered if maybe thats what was needed. I found this one here at Amazon and thought, 'why not". I can always return it. And it ended up being just what I needed. It picks up dog hair, dirt and even the pine needles from the Christmas tree. It doesn't do anything on hardwood floors, but on carpets and area rugs, it's perfect. It's even great on all the little rug mats that I have placed in all my doorways to wipe my feet on. I always had problems vacuuming those without having them get stuck in the suction of the vacuum. The first few times that I used it, the rolling mechanism was a little stiff, but it seems to be loosening up with each use.

The outside of the product box is damaged and the person for whom I bought it as a gift saw it before it was time to exchange gifts. The push broom is scratched from external damage to the product box What a crappy situation you have created by not paying for shipping inside an Amazon bag or box! I'm really pissed! I would not have ordered from you if I had seen a review similar to this. Shipping to people without being in a second container makes it easy for thief's also! Not happy, will not order anything from this seller again! The broom works as I would expect from this price range. Solid 3 stars. It does not work in both directions as it is not heavy enough to gain traction on the back stroke. Does fine for light small particles. Anything small and heavy such as salt rock ect takes several strokes to get everything, but is more efficient than say a hand broom or the time to get out the big vac.

This carpet sweeper is awesome! It’s one of my favorite purchases from Amazon. The quality is great and so easy to put together. The best thing is….it really works! I was amazed at how well it picked up crumbs and dog hair. It comes with a comb to clean it. Oh by the way I find myself vacuuming less because this is doing such a great job. I highly recommend it.

It isn’t the sturdiest, and it doesn’t pick up everything, but it did a decent job sweeping up my washable rug.

I love the comb that comes with the unit for cleaning the brushes. What a great idea.
