If you are good at tinkering with things and figuring out electronics, get this camera. It wasnt that hard to figure out how to work. Theres a few words in a different language but it took lile 1 minute to figure out what they were, wasnt hard at all. When it gets to the password screen the left button is the "back" button, and the right button is the "enter" or "proceed button" just put in the password and press the right button. This camera does everythinv I want it to do. For a good price at that. The sd card wont be recognized until you first put it in your computer and click on the options and format the memory card. Not hard. I used a samsung 32 gig sd card. THE LIVE VIEW IS AMAZING! you can see yourself in 3rd person walking around the room in real time as if you were a video game character or something, really cool. It has an extra battery in the box as well. Fantastic attachments, love the waterproof one. Fantastic medium level entry to vr camera photography and video. Although you must use the same app that you use to take the video in order to view the video in vr mode, the app works fantastically. You might be able to find a 3rd party app to view the videos in vr, but the spherical style of the video is not a common format it seems. Either way, fantastic buy.

This is a great deal. Just pop the tf card into an on-the-go usb adapter to get an instant cardboard experience. Simple to use, although the lcd is a bit small for my olderish eyes. The usb webcam function only produces 720p, so don't expect a 4k webcam. Rotation of end images and videos are frequently necessary to fill in for the apparent lack of a gravitometer or even accelerometer. Price-wise, though, its still a no'brainer with lots of useful accessories to mount it.

This was my first purchase of a "360" camera. The image quality is fair and it's relatively easy to use once you figure it out the "two-button" control system. I'm not unhappy, but if I'd done better research, I would not have purchased this.PROS:- Lightweight and compact.- Relatively simple controls (with caveats).- Spare battery and extra mounting parts make it very versatile.- The app is actually very helpful for customizing your options.CONS:- Interface is not intuitive and manual isn't helpful -- it's a very bad English translation.- I wanted a more spherical recording device but this is 360 horizontal by 235 vertical (as advertised, I was just too inexperienced to understand).- VR goggles don't hold my phone well and the image is blurry no matter how much I adjust focal length.- Hard for "beginners" like me to view images outside the app due to picture/video format (a real problem given my issue with the VR goggles).

Great for what it's meant to be, an entry level 360 camera. Needs a fast SD card (Class 10) to write video at maximum (2k) resolution, slower cards will write at lower framerates. To format the card you have to open the full settings menu which can be a little tricky.

This camera is exactly what it promises to be. Remind yourself that you are buying a $100 camera, not a professional video camera. Also, this shoots more than one hemisphere in its field of view. So you get good webcam quality captured over a hemisphere. Very good close up focus (a tiny spec of dust on the lens will be very visible in your final shot), the focus goes soft after a few feet, as you would expect from such a tiny fixed lens. It produces 2448x2448 mpeg4 video without a hitch, using a cheap lens and imager. The controls on the camera are straightforward. You can download the XDV360 app to your Android phone set up and control the camera. The app works fine but really with this type of camera it is best to just turn it on and process the material in your editor (one that can handle the resolution) after you insert the SD card into a computer. Make sure you get an SD card with a fast enough write speed that you can record at full resolution. The phone app is mostly just useful for setting the initial framing. Shooting with this is very different than with a regular camera--_everything_ will be in frame all the time, including the sun if you are not careful. I think this is best used to get your feet wet in panoramic video and see if you want to do more with it, using better gear. Looking at it that way, its a great deal. The second battery is a nice feature. The vendor is offering a memory card for a 5 star review.
