not back pack style
I have one of these in green than I bought about 5 years ago. I wanted another one in a back pack style so when I walk to work and it rains, my stuff will not get wet. The pictures show the black and blue in a back pack style and what I received was only one strap for crossbody. I will keep it. If I knew this was not a pack pack style bag, I would have gotten a different color.

A huge convenience
This dry bag is seriously amazing. First of all, it works perfectly in keeping all my gear bone dry, even after complete submersion a few feet down in the water. Second, it fits a lot more than you'd think from how it looks on the outside. I have the 20L, and had 3 large water bottles, a towel and few medication bottles in there with room to spare. Yet after it packs down and rolls up it's not bulky at all and looks attractive as you carry it. This bag solves a problem I've had for years of not being able to take certain crucial items out on the water with me as I'm snorkeling off a kayak, always having to return to shore to get my water and medication. Now I can have it all with me as I go and I don't have to worry about it getting wet.Another cool thing I discovered is that it doubles as a flotation device. Just pack a little extra air in before you roll it up and since it's watertight it floats strong enough to keep me (130 lb.) afloat if I need a rest from swimming. Very cool. This bag could be made extra awesome if there was another strap added so that you could wear it on your back or front like a small backpack. Still, it works great as is and I love it and recommend it!

Dry at the waterfall.
Took this bag on a trip to Puerto Rico in early March. It worked well keeping our belongings dry. We took it on a hike in El Yunque rainforest down to the waterfall. I didn't submerge the bag, but there was a lot of spaying water and the rocks surrounding the waterfall were very wet. Our gear stayed dry. The shoulder strap is very handy for carrying the bag and being able to keep your hands free while scrambling over wet rocks. The 20L volume holds enough items for a day hike. Prior to my trip I tested the bag in my pool, but putting in a dry paper towel and sealing up the bag and tossing it in the water. I let it float around the pool for about 5 mins before taking it out and checking it. The paper towel stayed dry, only a few drops got into the bag, and that was upon opening it back up and water on the rim dripped into the bag, again no more that a drop or two. All and all the bag performed well for the limited exposure to water that it got on my trip. I will see how it holds up over the coming months on a few fishing trips I have planned.

The Litmus Test: Amazon Rainforest.
The litmus test was my trip to the Amazon forest in a wildlife shooting workshop. The size and volume were good for my photography equipment. My reason for taking off one star:One day when the rain was coming, I packed my camera with my 200-500 lens. The bag closed well but one of the shoulder strips hooks was broken and almost my camera felt down! It was annoyingMy reason to give 4 stars:When my equipment was packed inside the drybags and I was in the Amazon river by canoe, a heavy storm fell on us and everything was got wet. Everything. Also my canoe almost turns on and a lot of water got in the canoe, so more water for my equipment. After 2 hours of heavy rain, all my stuff was a completely mess. When I arrived to the hotel, I unpacked my camera equipment and everything was dry! No water drops came in the drybags. Cameras, lenses and flashes were safe because of the dry bags.

Hi74iH Great Bag!
Nice thick rubberized dry bag. I originally ordered it for my sleeping bag but was on the small side, but thats no problem many uses than just water sports. I use mine to store an emergency set of clothes and a few other things that will stay on my off-road vehicle. Since its light cargo and will not add to the center of gravity I strapped the Montem dry bag to my roof rack I do keep a piece of canvas over the top just to keep the uv damage down. I have been freeway speeds in some good downpours amd no issues with moisture im done checking it for leaks, good product for 4x4 crawler camping and overland trips. The yellow is a good signal color and can be used to gather water.

Simple to use, awesome for camera gear in wet conditions.
This bag was awesome! We were going to go snorkeling at one of the beach parks in Hilo, Hawaii, so I decided to use this with all the electronics I was bringing. I bought the largest size since it was only a few more dollars than the next size down. It was large enough to store the following and still have room: Sony A6300, Meikon underwater housing for A6300, GoPro Hero4 Silver, wide-angle dome correction lens for underwater housing, spare batteries, cell phone, GoPro accessories, sandals. I set the bag on the rocks awhile we snorkeled for the day and came back to all the items still dry. There was a point where we had to carry the bag through the water. Even the a quarter of the bag was submerged and water was splashing on the bag, the items continued to stay dry. Great for transporting electronics near water especially camera gear.

I would not recommend submersing it in water but it does stay dry ...
I received the gear very quickly. It was thick & very well constructed. I went to the Frio River with friends to go tubing and my things stayed dry. I would not recommend submersing it in water but it does stay dry against splashing. My things did get wet at one point but I think it was because my kids kept opening it and filling it with things they didn't want to carry. My advice is to not fill it past half way, fold it very tightly, & do not submerge the entire thing under water. It does keep your things dry and it is well made as long as you use common sense. It would be perfect for something like a water rapids ride at an amusement park. I wouldn't recommend using this on a water ride that requires a swimsuit.
