As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, my cat is a very old, curmudgeonly smug narcissist. He only likes me when he wants something from me. It strains my self-confidence. My therapist suggested doing whatever I can to avoid conflict with him.Long story short, this cleaning solution has been a very effective means of cleaning up my cat’s “accidents” without much effort on my end. This product handles every problem without any residue or noticeable grossness left on the carpet.I’ve tried a million different kinds of cleaners, and this is one of the best. Highly recommend it.If anyone wants a cat for free…hit me up. Honestly, I’ll pay you to take him. Please help.

We have three cats, one of which is "litter box challenged." This cleaner doesn't remove the urine smell completely from carpet (a commercial enzymatic cleaner we found does that job quite well), but it does do a great job of generally deodorizing, as well as removing dirt and the remnants of hairball/puke stains. A spray bottle of this stuff mixed to the proper ratio is good for spot cleanings between full-on cleanup jobs, and is also useful in pre-treating stains prior to hitting them with the "steam" vac. I've no idea where the "terrible odor" statements are coming from. Even my wife, who is extremely sensitive to artificial fragrances, chemical cleaners, and bleach, notes almost no smell. Highly recommended, and I'm about to order another bottle.

We use this for our Hoover carpet cleaner for cleaning up messes left behind from our 2 cats and one large dog. The scent is light and fresh (not too strong) and this value size is perfect! I will be using my carpet cleaner a little more often for minor stains simply because I don’t feel like I need to save my cleaning solution for big messes.

The smell is a little strong for a full carpet cleaning -- it works really well though once the smell dissipates. I use it in my Green Heat Machine for spot cleaning pet messes. I highly recommend it -- it's a good product for a great price. It's not sudsy which is a plus and it definitely gets the smell and stain out!

This came as a sample size with our carpet cleaner and it worked so well we ordered a large jug replacement as well. There is nothing very exciting about cleaning carpets but this stuff in concert with our Hoover carpet cleaner does an outstanding job. We used to have professional cleaners come every few months but the carpet never STAYED clean. Doing it ourselves with this solution really makes a difference! Now we no longer pay the “pro’s” to come, we just get out the Hoover and this solution. Carpets stay cleaner, longer and look better when we are done also. It does take work to DIY but for us it is worth it!

This product works great in my machine & smell good. It cleans the floors & leaves them looking great. It does not have too many suds which makes it good & it drys quickly.

I have 2 dogs, my oldest is 9 and has been having accidents in the house, this took the stain and smell out immediately. I also had someone spill coffee on my carpet almost 6 years ago and have tried EVERYTHING to get the stain out, I have also tried other carpet cleaners and this is the only thing that took the stain completely out!

I have tried other carpet cleaners and matching solutions and finally ordered the Hoover pet cleaner machine and this solution to go with it. Stains I didn't think I could remover came out easily. The quicker I got to them (a few days) the better it came out to totally gone. I still have hope for some stains that were years old which are better (less glaring) on two tries with this cleaner . It is a solution in more ways than one. Thank you Hoover.

I dog sat for a friend over the holidays. Her dog had a number of life changes (moves, staying with a friend, another move then to my home) and is not all that good at "holding." Well, he marked his spot on my carpet and I tried (without a lot of succcess) to use my Hoover Spot remover before New Years to get rid of it. Every day when I passed the spot (unfortunately located near a heating vent) I was greeted with the amonia scent of his stay! I ordered this solution and it arrived on the 2nd (as promised). I immediately got to work - hoping against hope that it would deliver. I had a gathering in my home that evening, so I was close to the wire.Well, the results were amazing! There is absolultely no odour left! My only regret is that I got the large sized bottle - and only needed 1 1/2 tbsp for the job! Well, I won't run out, that's for sure, and it will be my go-to product for any more pet or other stains!Thank you so much!

I used this product on a 350 sq. ft. carpeted area that had been subjected to a cat which suffered with urinary tract problems so he peed the carpet on different occasions to alert me to his distress which of course left an odour. This product has removed both the smell and the staining left by the local enzyme product I had used on the peed areas when they were initially discovered.

I am not extremely familiar with this kind of stuff, but the smell is ok, I am just really sensitive. I can't tell if its the machine or the soap that does a good or bad job, but seems pretty good. A little pricy, but it should last a little while.
