literally some of the best egusi soup i’ve ever had. it has that same authentic taste of home + the other sisters/aunties in my area’s soup. even though i had to substitute some items like the palm oil, it came out PERFECT! i’m so glad i came across this due to changes with inflation and traveling distances to get fufu and egusi soup. i will definitely be purchasing more in the future, please never remove this from amazon! 💗🫶

This is the real deal!!! My husband and I made this a few weeks back and it was such a success!!! We loved the freshness of the taste and how the stew tasted just like the traditional Egusi. We purchased the one that was already seasoned so that helped. We did our part in first frying the onion in palm oil, we then adding all the other necessary ingredients. We are purchasing this again !!!!! Thank you for this!!

A good-tasting product, and it's easy to make a quick batch without sourcing all the ingredients individually. The expiration date is on the tear-off strip at the top of the package. Note the date before discarding that strip. Of course, once it's opened, it won't stay viable until that date anyway.

Too spicy and the crayfish too much.

Albasa Foods mix Review Egusi Soup (Albasa Foods mix) I bought a pre packaged egusi soup mix from Albasa Foods and wow, it was delicious. This was my first attempt at making egusi at home, and it came together smoothly and tangy, with bold, savory flavor from ground melon seeds, crayfish, spices, and dehydrated Albasa Foods egusi mix delivered flavor, convenience, and authenticity. Overall, a great first try that tasted home cooked and promising. The price and value ro earned this our home was a great benefit ! I added tomatoes, ginger, garlic, chicken bouillon, chicken stock , shrimp, and frozen spinach with a hint of salt. This was so amazing! It felt like I made it with preparing the veggies

Yuck. Easy to use, didn’t have palm oil but it did not taste authentic at all, actually it tasted like NOTHING.

There’s only one level of spicy in this Egusi and that’s FLAMING 🔥🔥🔥 Aside from extremely spicy the mix is is good. But won’t purchase again unless the spice level is adjusted.

I made this last night, it was absolutely fantastic. I added spinach and turkey. Next time I won't use the palm oil I'll use another oil. It is just a little over powering. But it was still very good. I will be ordering more.
