Programmed first thing , works great as described , what more can anyone ask . !!!!!!!!

I found reading through some of the other reviews confusing, so I want to clarify a couple of things.After easy programming, this remote DOES lock and unlock my 2008 Miata, and the Panic button works as it should. BUT as others have mentioned, the trunk release doesn't work...in fact, it acts as a second Panic button.This remote is actually two devices in one, and therefore requires TWO completely separate and distinct programming actions; a/ Programming the lock/unlock function, which anyone who can open and close a door can do, and b/ Programming the security key function, which can also be done by anyone, AS LONG AS you already have TWO working keys.I have read in a couple of places that the trunk and panic button functions are reversed. That led me to hope I could simply reverse the buttons, and make it work 100%. But that was NOT the case with mine. As mentioned above, both of those buttons activate the Panic function. Again, in other reviews, I've read that non-OEM remotes tend to have that same problem. I'm dinging it one star for that. The other star is because of poor fit of the case itself. The case on mine didn't seem to want to snap closed completely at the bottom. I solved the problem myself, and here's how I did it.The chromed trim on the bottom of the fob isn't glued in...when you separate the two halves of the case, the chrome piece is removable. It appears that it it about 0.5mm too wide. I carefully filed down the edges on both sides a tiny amount...and Bingo, the case snapped together.I think the piece is fair value for money, as long as you understand what you're getting. And not getting.

Bought this because I thought I only had 1 key fob. Found the 2nd one months later in the glove box(dead). I programmed this purchase to open the locks but after cutting the key, realized, the chip for the key was not programmed. So until I buy a replacement battery I'm using the top part of my "found" key fob (programmed) with the now programmed bottom half of this purchase to have 2 good, completely functional key fobs. When I get a battery, I will program the 3rd key to work in the ignition.

I bought this for my 08 Mazda 6. I was very iffy about buying this because of all of the mixed reviews. I took the chance because my original key was falling apart and bought it. The key doesn’t come precut. I took mine to lowes to cut it to match my original key. Worked perfectly at unlocking and locking my doors with the key but wouldn’t start engine. I took the transmitter chip out of my original key and put it in this key and my car started right up! You also have to program the remote to work with your car. YouTube is so helpful for this. I’m giving it only 4 stars because the program website they included with the key doesn’t work!

Works perfectly! Instructions for how to program the remote are on the seller's site and online. Took 3-5 minutes to successfully program. NOTE that if you are programming an extra remote, ALL remotes must go through the same programming set up at the same time or those that don't will not work.
