12 in 1 Corner Jig Template for Router/Trimmer R5 R10 R15 R20 R25 R30, T5 T10 T15 T20 T25 T30 Half Round Corner Radius Quick-jig(12 Different Radius Set)

I bought this jig in order to round off the edges on a set of small cutting / food serving boards I made out of excess oak stock. Works perfectly with any router table and the correct offset bearing bit in order to round out matching curves on all four corners. With radius options from 5 >> 30, you can start small and work up to what looks good.

I love working with wood and have often designed jugs for special projects. Using these corner templates allows me the convenience of having them at the ready. They work quite well and seem to be sturdy enough to last a while. For me, they work.

I love woodworking but many tasks need the assistance of a jig for me to get good repeatability and do a quality job. When this is used together with my great Cordless DeWalt Compact Router I can make a variety of different corners when using a pilot bearing guided router bit. This set has 3 different corner plates which offer R5 R10 R15 R20 R25 R30, T5 T10 T15 T20 T25 T30 corner radii and angles. The jig is made of a stiff bakelite material and has 4 steel knurled thumbscrews to act as jig placement locators. Note the 5th center plate holding screw is longer than the other 4 (P.3). The threaded screw inserts are brass in the bakelite material.P.1 is what I received which includes a basic instruction sheet and a few double sided tape stickers. The jig plates are marked on one side. The 3 plates are in P.1&2; the jig bottom in P.4 and top in P.5. both with a plate in place. I liked the variety of radii and angles but wish this were made of sturdier aluminum plate. I will need great care when clamping a workpiece to the jig (the seller recommends the double stick tape dots). That would drop a half star but since there are no halves, I'll default to 5. This is a great idea. However, these are poorly made. The concept of having a device you can use with your mini router to create just about ant size radius corners is great. However, these templates do not line up squarely with the clamping device, so your corners will not be true. Plus, who has heard of anything being made from Bakelite in the last 50 years?

Often times a less expensive tool can do the job, but not this time! It’s nice that it comes with Every radius you could need but they don’t lineup square to the holder. I don’t like having to make a jig to use a jig.

So I liked the idea of being able to change it out, but it causes the corner to wiggle around because they are all different sizes. So you have to use double sided tape to get the most accurate corner. So I ended up buying the rockler ones that are stand alone and accurate.

These radius guides are just what I need for my woodworking. The thick aluminum is tough and these should last a long time. They have good edge guides to prevent movement, too.

The gouges and misaligned edges of this item make is useless. Zero quality control.
