Purchased as an emergency food - will slowly use this product over the years. Here's the rundown:Yield: yields should be averaged but I'm not opening the case so can says 1lb 12oz, I drained (no squeeze) and got 1lb 13oz - slightly over so that's awesome.Texture: texture is similar to all canned meats - dry/chalky which is standard. It won't be like freshly cooked pork but it's not supposed to be so this fine.Flavor: very clean tasting and this is vital. The salt they add is not overwhelming at all and additional seasoning won't make it too salty. It could easily meld into any cuisine flavor profile. I doused with hefty amount of Frank's & Cholula in a burrito and was delicious!Shelf Life: company gives best by date of 5 years. I ordered 10/2/2021, received rather quickly and can dated 8/17/2026. So the product is extremely fresh & they're giving customers maximum shelf life.Overall, solid quality product - highly recommend.

Received the canned beef on time. Several cans were damaged but Lehmans promptly provided a refund for the damaged cans. No questions asked. I can't ask for anything more. I love the canned beef. great product and service.

Did not like that the expiration date was very close to the last order I have placed . It was only 1 month apart and I placed the last order at least 6 months ago or more.

Was hesitant to buy with all the reviews about damaged product, but price was good compared to the others. Glad I took the chance - these arrived in two cardboard boxes, then additional paper to prevent any sliding. No damage to any box, any can - I checked each one. Amazingly good…. And did I mention the expiration date was the full promised 5 years (literally 4 years and 50 weeks out!!) …. Made sure I placed my order for more before leaving the review … but now I’ll let you all in on how great it was!! Attached a photo of just the inner box so you can see it…

I love eating and I hate cooking. i also hate the risk of all those nastycontaminations that can come with cooking meats/poultry...even if youare 100% careful those germies can get OUT and get you with the smallestmistake in the kitchen. NO MORE cooking for me. If I want meats, they'recoming from a CAN from now on. I was sick twice last year and I'm not riskingthat again. Besides, these are always handy to have on hand when the powergoes out here in Michigan. :) Taste is great and these are NOT over-salted at all.

3 of my 12 cans are dented . Making them useless for long term storage. Only one reason to spend $13/can on meat is for long term storage. $40 wastedNot happy.

case of 12, 28oz cans, MRECanned Ground Beef Meat-ordered8/23 arrived 8/29.Well packaged; no dents or concerns.Guessing this was about 70%-73% lean at best. at least 8 oz of the 28 oz was fat/grease as measured in quart measuring cup which included what was drained after additional cooking/warming (probably about the last 2 oz) and still left meat sufficiently "moist". mixed part of warmed meat with previously made recipe (goulash; added tomato sauce, spices, too). taste was ok. preference was to brown to a greater extent than out of the can.I like the convenience (having it on hand since its about 11 miles to grocery store; very limited freezer space); glad the shipping/packaging was good; taste is adequate; disappointed in the amount of fat and would prefer it cooked slightly more (some appeared pink of which I am not a fan). Might try the pork but unsure about reorder at this time.

We bought this a while back, and we finally tried it last night. When first opening the can, my nose said "dog food," but it tastes considerably better than it smelled! I changed my mind later and decided it was more of a canned roast beef hash smell. Anyway, it does contain quite a bit of fat and water, but it is definitely worth the cost and as a "survival" item for the pantry, it can't be beat! We're going to have to try some of their other canned meats!
