Great 'Nearly New' Recreational Roller Skates
30 years of rollerskating for fun, I've had good skates and bad ones. These skates are really good for the price. I wear a size 7 - 7 1/2 normal shoes so I bought a size 6 skate and they fit perfectly. I know several of the reviews complain that the wheels don't "spin freely", but mine had the right amount of roll in them to keep me moving smoothly without spinning out of control and falling on my butt. Turning, spinning, Snoopy, forwards and backwards I didn't have any issues.I took away one star because I feel there is a big difference between 'new' and 'almost new'. Straight out of the box, I could tell these skates had been worn at least once before, based on the condition of the stopper and wheels. There was something like cracker crumbs in the wheel treads and scuffs on the outside of one wheel where I believe someone bumped against a baseboard. The stopper had very mild evidence of having been used. I removed hair where it had been pulled up and wrapped around the inside of the wheel. There was fraying in several places on the laces where someone had gotten them caught in the Velcro a few times. Also, the insoles were scrunched up/half pulled out of the boot.Don't get me wrong, the skates were in 'near perfect' condition and I'm very happy with them. But I do feel one should be completely honest when selling a 'new' item vs. a 'returned, gently used but nearly new' item. Then again, maybe the previous owner loosened the wheels for me and that's why I didn't have any troubles with them. All in all, I would recommend these skates to any recreational rollerskating fans.

Work at a rink! Perfect!
I work at a skate rink, where the skates are total crap! I was getting constant blisters on my feet and I had terribly cut up ankles. I needed my own skates. I found these, and they're about the same quality as my friend's $100 skates.I sometimes have to skate for as much as 9 hours in a day, these became a necessity. I was killing my feet.A few people mentioned the ridged wheels, that isn't much of a problem for me, but if it's a huge problem, wheels aren't too expensive. The only thing I don't like is the laces seem cheap. I plan to get new ones soon. I've had them for a little less than a week, but I've already done close to 20 hours of skating. At first the wheels seemed really tight, but after about an hour of skating they began to loosen up to a good level and they stayed there so I didn't have to do any altering once I got moving on them. They are so so comfortable. The inside is really soft.I somewhat chose the brand because I knew how they ran, and they do run a little big. If you wear a half size, get the size down. I wear an 8.5-9 and an 8 fits pretty comfortably, they're just a little loose, but nothing tightening the laces doesn't fix up.Color is exactly how it is on screen for me. I love the purple. Very pretty, I've had at least half a dozen people ask where I got them from.So worth the money though.Only problem I've had is overworking my ankle and not realizing until the skate was right on it.Definitely secure on my feet though.

Good indoor skates for the price
I bought 2 pair - 1 for my daughter and 1 for me. We love them. I put insoles in mine for more comfort, but she is fine with hers so far. I bought new wheels for outdoor use. We skate for fun and exercise, not speed skating or tricks. Yet. They have held up to hours of enjoyment for both of us. I will have to replace bearings and toe stops soon, though. The bearings are sealed and the toe stop is wearing down fast due to terrain. They are good skates for indoors, but different wheels should be bought for outdoor use. If you have a restrictive budget like I do, these are a good starter and then make replacements as you can afford. The boots are very good quality and I expect to have them for a long time and only replace parts as needed when they wear out.On a side note: One pair was missing 1 axel washer, but I did not contact the seller since I have already had them for a while and have been using them. I also have not experienced any issues or noticed any difference in performance due to its absence.

A quarter turn and they rolled much better. I also oiled the bearings
I wear a 10 wide, women's, and prior to purchase read that they were sized more toward men's sizes, so I ordered a size 9. They are still a bit big, but not uncomfortably so. I have plenty of room for my wide feet, and can lace them up tight enough so they don't wiggle around. The wheels, as they arrived, are very slow. The nuts were tightened down so much the wheels could not turn. A quarter turn and they rolled much better. I also oiled the bearings, which helped even more. The wheels are much wider than the standard rink skate wheels on my old skates, but I don't anticipate them being a problem for me. I am used to high-top rink skates, so it will take a bit to get used to the lower ankle on these. I would not use these as derby skates, but will be great for skating at the rink or around the neighborhood.

Great economical skates
I have always loved roller skating but now that I have a 7 year old that had a skating segment in gym class, we have realized that it is a great family activity. My daughter got skates for Christmas and I wanted a pair so that I could also skate with her at home, as well as when we go to the skating rink. These skates were economically priced. They are comfortable and appear to be well-made. As mentioned, I wear them just for recreation, so I cannot judge durability for high-use users. The wheels are ridged, but I could not tell any difference when on the rink floor. On our smooth concrete basement floor, they did feel slightly different; however, it was nothing major. The laces are very cheap, but they are functional. The toe stop is a hard plastic that leaves marks when you stop. I will be looking to replace the stops with something nicer. The sizes tend to be slightly large. I wear a 7.5 shoe; I ordered a size 7 skate. They fit well. I would definitely suggest ordering the smaller whole size if you wear a half size shoe.

Best purchase! I enjoyed it so much I forgot I was exercising!
I got them today and went out for a 2 hour skate! I haven't been on skates in about 25years and these were perfect! After 20 minutes or so I had the hang of it again! These skates are very comfortable! I'm so happy with my purchase and look forward to wearing them out over the summer! I wear a size 6.5 shoe but I got these in a 6 and they fit perfectly.
