GE WD24X10043 WD24X10066 Unicouple Assembly for Dishwasher

My boyfriend and I got a MayTag JetClean - Quiet Pack portable dishwasher from his brother for Christmas, and the hose on it was pretty old and beat up. The drain clamp would no longer "clamp" onto the faucet. This hose looked almost the same as what I needed but in black, so I figured it was the same thing. When it came the drain clamp was the right size, and the metal threaded end was the right size- but the other hose did not have a flared end like the old hose did, so it wouldn't fit over the plastic piece it needed to connect to. I tried warming the end up with boiling water/a lighter, but I couldn't get it to slip over. I ended up cutting the flared end off from the old hose and used a brass coupler (3/4" x 3/4") and some hose clamps to connect the two ends- which seemed to do the trick. Just make sure to put another hose clamp around the flared end to secure to the plastic piece it fits over (you can see in the picture I forgot to do that, and the pressure ended up blowing the hose off and I got water all over the floor -_-).For this hose, you'll also need a faucet adapter that is compatible with your kitchen faucet. I ordered one here on Amazon titled "Plumb Pak PP28003 Faucet Aerator Adapter"- it has a ridge on it that the drain clamp teeth can clamp onto, unlike the other 7 adapters I got from Home Depot.The faucet adapter unfortunately didn't fit our kitchen faucet, so I ended up bringing the adapter to Home Depot with me. I asked an employee if he could help me find a compatible faucet, and he was nice enough to unscrew the display faucet aerators so I knew which one would fit. (You might not necessarily have to grab an employee if you're able to unscrew them yourself by hand, but those suckers were on so tight he had to use a clamp to unscrew them). Ended up getting a Moen Kitchen Faucet for about $40.The hose works great! No leaks, and it stays flush with the adapter. Just remember if you have an older dishwasher/faucet to look out for these things. 4 stars just because overall it was a pain in the ass to figure out everything on my own.

This allowed for the water to fill and drain from the same place. The other stuff I had was separate and the drain would keep popping out of the sink because it was not anchored down and I tried everything. Having a previous portable washer and dryer I knew they had the unicoupler so I bought this. It is really nice and easy to use. No more flooding the kitchen. Its really nice and it worked.

This was a great buy. You will not find a better buy. Quality product. Worked perfectly. To install flip diswasher on side will require straight blade screwdriver. Very easy to install. The water inlet is like screwing a garden hose to faucet. The first go I had a leak but carefully tightened with pilers the diswasher side is plastic be careful not to over tighten. Okay if you have leak at the faucet use the bigger rubber washer and use plumbers tape on the threads of the adapter. Sold separately I got the expensive one. Use a towel and pliers and tighten. Mine works great no leaks and very happy this got my old machine going again.. I also put some water in the dishwasher it had sat soo long.. Pump was dry.. This seemed to help. I also noticed a better water discharge from the new hose. This product definality worth the time. Very pleased. Good luck!

This product was slightly the wrong part for my dishwasher. The drain hose on mine had a flair or increase in diameter at the pump. I was able to connect to the old hose by cutting the old hose and joining to it. Good quality part. Easy to install.

The little plastic clips in my portable dishwasher gave out, and for some asinine reason you need to replace them by replacing the entire hose assembly. Yes this item was easy to use (youtube for a great installation video), but way to expensive. At least my dishwasher has been working perfectly for about a year now with no signs of wear, but what a bs price/plastic clips are so stupid!
