Fast shipping,and easy fast assembly.Fireplace looks good on my deck.Very roomy fire burning area.Heats well and chimney provides good draft and smoke removal.Love the handled ash bin.Just lift it out to dump the ashes.I added a cast iron fire grate which I would recommend. At this price there is no better outdoor fireplace to be had.Very impressed and look forward to many years use.I would recommend this product to any one who wants a nice outdoor fireplace for under 500.00. There is no need to pay 1000.00 plus for a wood burning outside fireplace.This little unit has you covered.Also lined the inside fire box with pavers and brick,that really add to the heat factor.Also by blocking the side mesh with brick you help increase the chimney draw,and no sparks or embers blow out the sides.So adding the 18" cast iron grate,and lining the firebox gets you good airflow,and heat distribution.

No doubt about it, once you have assembled this, it will definitely be a centerpiece and talking point for your guests, looks great. Wasn't too difficult to put together - some sharp edges, so wear gloves. The big thing to think about here is that the box it arrives in is extremely heavy, and the delivery driver leaves it at your front door. Even with assistance, two of us still had to unpack everything from the box out on the door stoop where the package was left and move it piece by piece to where we wanted to set it up. Also, pay extra attention to the fragile parts like the tile - one of our pieces was broken, easily fixed with some glue. Budget about an hour or two to assemble - and once done, looks great!

I never thought I would buy something big like this on Amazon, without any reviews. I was quite interested in some of the other Sunjoy fireplaces when I saw this one pop up, recently. Reading a lot of reviews of the other ones made me think that over time they are improving their products. This appears to be a new item, possibly an exclusive for Amazon? The price point was much better and qualified for Prime. I decided to take the plunge.We are very happy we did. It came 1 day late for prime, but arrived by UPS, not a third party carrier.It is a very heavy item, ~150lbs and comes in a large, but sturdy cardboard box. Every piece inside is either wrapped in plastic or wrapped in plastic with cardboard around it. How well it was packed meant there was no damage, to our unit, as reported on some of the other products.It came with everything you need to assemble fairly quickly. It took us a little over an hour, but I wasn't watching the clock. It's basically just bolts and washers. It's pretty easy to assemble, once you get the bolts started. Everything is assembled loose to start with, then when all pieces are together, you can tighten it all up. It's definitely strong enough to move around after assembled, although you will need 2 people.We had our first burn last night. My wife was very warm and comfortable! When the front screen is closed, it very much keeps the smoke going up the chimney and out of everyone's faces. That's the reason I wanted a fireplace instead of a pit. However, if you do leave the front open, you get more heat, but due to the change in draft, it may push smoke out the front and into your face from time to time. I don't think this is really a design flaw, as it was designed to be closed to prevent hot embers from flying out and in that configuration it seems to work really great.

First one ordered had a significant dint in the front above the slate. However Amazon reordered and shipped a replacement which was in great condition. Return of the original was no problem. One of the previous customer reviews discussed how easy the fireplace was to assemble. We found this to be true as well. It took us about 45 minutes. It looks great. We love it. Having a cover is a big plus.

The first fireplace arrived last week and was dented in two different locations. It was an arduous item to repack and return due to weight and bulkiness. I was leary about returning the entire unit as I was concerned that a replacement could also be damaged and sure enough, when the new fireplace arrived today, it too was dented. Given the size of the box and the heaviness of the contents, it is probably a common occurrence. I contacted both the manufacturer as well as Amazon and discovered the simple fix of replacing the two dented parts was not an option. Customer service from Amazon has been mediocre regarding this item and the manufacturer (Sunjoy) claims they cannot help since it was sold through this website. That being said, the actual fireplace is very attractive and has some nice features including a solid back, tile accents and a heavy duty cover. Assembly takes about an hour. I will not purchase this type of item from Amazon again due to the aforementioned issues.

This thing looks awesome outside, however some of the parts are a little cheap. One of the hinges broke within 24 hrs of using it and it makes the doors useless. I've contacted customer service and they said they would look into it and get back to me. I've never heard back even after contacting them again. So the product is good, but seller support is fairly poor

This was just delivered and the box is trashed and a bunch of the tiles are off the unit and broken. I cannot believe the flimsy packaging on this for such a heavy item. Will likely be returning and not getting another one.

First time ever buying something of this size from Amazon and was affraid to do so without seeing it in person. I read the reviews and went for it. Came to my house in two days and took me about 45min to build. Long story short, I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! Glad I went with the reviews, absolutely love my new fireplace, perfect size(large) Cannot wait for fall/winter to turn the corner! Also comes with a 1 year replacement warenty, and a very nice black, perfect matching of the fireplace fit, cover that is waterproof/sun proof. Not a cheap cover that will fade and rip open in 5-10 months. Also can be tightened from the bottom with elastic skinny rope that comes out of two holes. All and all, I would hands down buy again, looks beautiful on my back porch, exactly what I was looking for!
