Good to buy
I saw video on replacing alternator on same year car 2012 Buick lacrosse with the Spring load tensioner. Tool work good it comprises the spring but the best thing is comprise spring and take bolt Out that attach to mount

Works on 2019 Hyundai ionic
I had to extend the guide pin because it wasn’t long enough used a drill bit that fit inside and cut off the excess then it worked fine tried 17 mm wrench no luck this tool is the only way to release the tensioner

Works on 2017 Kia Niro with a little modification
This fit the belt tensioner with a little wood dowel to keep it lined up. My belt had 218k miles on it so it was very loose and need the modification. If you are replacing the belt at a more reasonable mileage you might not need to modify. It is a tight fit and you will need to use a 17mm wrench. A socket will not fit.

Works great for my 2012 Hybrid Buick Lacrosse
Tool is just perfect. Made the job of removing serpentine belt and easy job on my wifes 2012 Buick Lacrosse (Hybrid).

Used for a Kia Niro
Guide pin was slightly too short to fit on the Niro, causing the whole thing to twist and misalign initially but I finally got it to work. It kept wanting to pop off the tensioner. It worked in the end.If you are buying this to do the belt on a Kia Niro or similar Kia/Hyundai car, just pay the dealer. The space and belt length made this way more difficult than any serpentine belt I have ever done. I had to pry it over the pulley with two screwdrivers and my hands look like I tried to pet a bobcat. Yes the belt was the correct part number. Job is done but I if I had to do it again I am paying the dealer.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu 2.4L
This tool worked great on a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu with the big 2.4L. When tightened all the way to the max the tensioner was just right in getting the bolt holes lined up. Way easier than using a giant C-Clamp to compress it and so much safer.

Does NOT fit Kia
2018 Kia NiroThis is the tool specifically stated in the manufacturer’s manual for replacing the serpentine belt, albeit surely a Chinese knock off at the price. The bolt provided is a quarter inch too short to fit over the tensioner. The bolt provided is class 12.9, which is in an extremely strong bolt. I tried grabbing a longer bolt from ace hardware, but the best I could find is class 8.8. With the tension on this device, that simply wasn’t going to be wise or safe once I started cranking down. But even with a stronger bolt at the proper length, the guide pin in the device is not long enough to keep it straight as you crank down.
