For recessed light with 2wire, which drill bit size should I buy?

You will likely have instances either now or later where you will have 2 pieces of "14/2 w/ ground" romex cable running through your drilled hole. For this reason, you should not buy a drill that is less than the 9/16" diameter. If you think you will be pulling "12/2 w/ ground" romex cable, then jump to the 3/4" diameter cutter.This is a great tool and very quickly travels through wood! I used it for my needs, and lent it to a friend that then did recessed lighting in his home - all good!

Can you change bit on it?

No. This is a fixed bit on a long shaft. One size only.

Whats best way of attaching electrical wire to drill bit tip before pulling the whole setup out of the wall?

If its romex , I loop the ground wire through the hole, wrap it around itself several times, then tape the looped end. Pull gently, have someone else feed you wire if you can... keeping slack on what you're pulling makes it a bit easier.

Why would I choose an auger vs screw point, or vice versa?

This drill bit has the screw as well as auger which is perfect for going blind through trusses. Without the screw part it would take a lot of force to go through each truss and get more difficult going through the second or third ones.
