Lots of research Glad I chose this one
I read quite a bit on all the various Bluetooth enabled cordless home phones from Panasonic, ATT, and VTech. I finally settled on this Panasonic model. Glad I did. Set up was a breeze, linked 2 cell phones quickly and without any difficulty (iphone 5s and iphone 6). Connected our landline. Followed the quick set-up instructions and everything was good to go and up and running in less than 10 minutes from opening the box. We've been using this unit for about a month now - this is pretty slick and works great! The unit functions seamlessly with our cell phones and landlines and the Bluetooth connection links up each time we walk in the door at home. One huge plus was the owners manual/user guide that came with the phone - WOW - it was actually well written, detailed, easy to understand, and useful - more than you can say for most manuals these days.Overall pros: Functionality, ease of use, great user manual, quick and easy setup, good range and connection with the Bluetooth, ALOT of features on the handsets and base unit (probably more different things than I'll ever need), the SPAM blocker feature is a nice additionOne minor thing: Our cell phones connect automatically to the base unit when we walk in the house - never had a single issue with this - works every day. However, anytime that our phones update with a new Apple ios update, it seems that we have switch the phone Bluetooth off and back on again (on our cell phones) to get the cell phones to reconnect to the base station (not a really a huge deal - not really any different than when my phone Bluetooth loses sync with my car stereo).Sound quality: Is decent/OK - certainly nothing exceptional. Does leave a bit to be desired, but certainly not a reason to not buy this phone. And really its about the same as the previous Vtech cordless phone this unit replaced and is probably about the same quality as the other cordless phones out there at this price point.

What an excellent work-around!
We decided against continuing our hardwired, landline "home phone" after we realized very few of our friends and family were calling us on it anymore. They had learned the best way to reach us is on our cellphones. As a practical matter, we figured over a year's time, and the monthly cost of the phone line, last year each call cost us about $15.With that in mind, we went exploring for alternatives that utilized our cellphones. We have a service provider plan that has unlimited calls, local and long distance, and that has continued to maintain signal even during area power outages lasting as long as several days. These two factors alone had motivated us to get away from the landline.Once we had told everyone our plan, and the longtime number had been disconnected, we powered up the Panasonic Link2Cell as a standalone system in our house. I selected an AC power outlet for the cellphone's charger in an area that registered signal at nearly all-bars, and picked another location on a coffee table in the family room for the "base" station of the Panasonic, where its signal could reach the individual units throughout the house. The interconnection with the Android-based smartphone was quick and flawless, and the menu-driven setup of the Panasonic's units was also simple and without a glitch. The range away from the base unit has been outstanding, not only throughout the house but also anywhere in the yard around our three acre property. As a bonus, I had a previous Panasonic DECT 6.0 system for use with the landline, and the individual units successfully "registered" with this new system, despite their being several years older. Thus, we have a five unit system and we feel good that the earlier models were not a total loss.Call quality is very good, the dialing sequences have flawlessly taken place, and the only criticisms I have are practical rather than technical. The base for each unit needs more weight. I plan to get some small, metallic fishing weights and glue them underneath each one so that when you pick up the unit the charger stays put. And, these newer handsets seem to have been built with a cheaper feel than the older Panasonic models we have added to this new system. The display on the older units is clearer, the buttons feel better, and several functions on the older units do not appear on the newest ones. One technical puzzle remains, and I've emailed the manufacturer to explain. The chargers for the new units are 4.8V at 100ma, while the older chargers are 5.5V at 150ma. This might relate to efforts to improve the constant, low-level charge the batteries have to endure. Lower current should prolong the life of the batteries before they need to be replaced, but this lower rate also means it takes longer to recharge. I haven't compared, but will update if it looks like it's taking too long after reasonable use.On the plus side, Panasonic has ingeniously designed this system to continue operating off the unit's internal batteries when the household electricity goes out. Since our cellphones would also continue running, this means the "home phone" will continue to work during a power failure, just like it did on our old Bell System line that was powered by the Central Office.I do miss the telephone hum, but overall this is an improvement for us. Highly recommended.

Great convenience for landline and 2 cell phones
Bought this unit since we want to transition gradually from our land line to our 2 cellphones and not carry them around the house. System works well with landline and both cells. The phone call audio is great. Like the call blocking and the intercom and paging which is great in our 2-floor house…no more yelling up the stairs when dinner is ready. The handset locations can be identified with the room name. The phone book instantly transitioned to the unit from our cell phones which was an incredible time saver. Buttons are large and well lit. Letters on screen showing inbound caller are large and easy to read but truncates some of the name. Announces caller but voice is a bit weirder on announcement versus our last ATT unit. Answering machine feature works well for landline. It does not record cell phone answering machine messages. Cell phones do not have to be right near base unit for base to be connected to them. The long product manual is a bit intimidating, but the set up was actually easier than expected and more intuitive.Bought silver set and got one more compatible handset in black for our in-home office. We have base unit wall mounted on the kitchen wall phone plate…note that the landline phone cable with the unit is really too long for that purpose and we purchased a 3” phone cable from Amazon to have it neat. (There really should have been one in the package.) Also, the phone power cable is only available in black so we painted the plug and the part of the cord that shows white to be less obtrusive. See photo of our kitchen wall installation.
