Love the thing, even the colors. Tracks very well without a skeg, even better with one. Not cramped, roomy. Stable, quick. Handles open water and constricted beaver canals very well. Update: 9-10-2020 After several months of heavy use. Water bodies: coastal marine, lakes, streams, Puget sound (inland marine), lite river use. I have used this kayak for multi night trips and it has no problem with heavy loads. It has out performed my expectations for a 14 foot kayak. Not too long to handle, load, or transport. Not too short as to hinder stability. I am Far more than pleased with this kayak. it has expanded my paddling range. Easily covers 8-10 miles of leisure paddling in just a few hours. I am mid 50's.. and 200 lbs +/-.. I have been a kayaker since 1978. You can't go wrong with a Perception, in my honest opinion.

Was hoping for a better experience here as the Kayak looks great. No problem there, but the shipping was so bad. First of all, XPO Logistics told me multiple times it would arrive a certain day, then called that day and said it would arrive 4 weeks later, at the earliest! After lots of called with XPO logistic CS, it was delivered a week later. I unpacked the kayak and it was severely damaged. It looked like someone took an angle grinder to the bow and it had perforations below the waterline. I suspect it was dragged on something like concrete for quite a distance. I have a number of other kayaks and these PE kayaks are tough so it must have been dragged a long way on the ground. So I asked to return it, and the saga continued. XPO and AMZN said they would pick it up 4 days later so I rewrapped it and hung around waiting for the pickup. Half way through the time slot, I got a call from XPO saying they were going to schedule it for 5 WEEKS LATER! Called XPO CS and they had no record, despite all the robocalls to me telling me that today was the day for pickup. Needless to say, it’s not worth the hassle of delivery.

Solid boat. Works great!

This is overall a very good product. It's a good value. It's a good boat overall and seems to have an excellent seat. It's sorely lacking a skid plate on the keel. More accessible storage compartment lids would be nice. It looks like it'll be a good dependable boat. The only annoying thing is that the foot pegs have a tendency to ratchet towards you. I find myself always having to reach into the boat to adjust them forward.

Shipping company was very professional. Kayak was wrapped in plastic and cardboard. It did have a very minor scuf but will likely get more scuffs just from normal use. I am a heavy person about 250lbs and was concerned about the kayak sitting low in the water, but it actually sits at just the right height and I don't worry about carrying additional gear. One other minor issue, one of the seat adjustment straps was supposed to be secured by a screw in between seat and seat pan when they put the screw through. This is simple to fix myself and I can see how it could have easily moved out of the way when they ran the screw through. The kayak does tend to weathercock in substantial wind so I may add a rudder in the future. It also handles waves pretty well. Overall a great buy. Very happy with it.

Great product, well made. Four river trips so far and very happy.

My kayak arrived damaged with a hole in the side of it and missing the front hatch cover. I would try to find a new cover for the front but the hole obviously won’t work on a boat 🫠. Would not recommend buying this produce as there are many complaints about the product arriving damaged.

Arrived Damaged. Scratches both sides of the cockpit. Leg padding ripped. Missing leg padding clips. Tail end of kayak has major damage. Bent, not straight at all. If a rudder was installed it would be cocked way off to the side. Nice boat. Overpriced in my opinion.
