I have been using Gorilla Grip for a little bit over a year, all I can say it is fantastic. Since we've been using it our carpet has not moved or bubbled up at all. Before using this product the carpet would gather up within a few days. It had some gathers in it that I thought would never flattened out. Gorilla grip actually took those wrinkles away. Highly recommend it !

We recently got a new rug in our living room, and it slid around a bit with kids and dogs running about. On top of that, our heavy coffee table, which has four rolling ottoman stools, caused the rug to bunch up, leaving ripples just waiting to trip someone. So, hoping for the best, not expecting much, we picked up this rug gripper. It was easy to lay out, and the rug went back down just as easily. We let it sit for a day or so without anything on it, and immediately saw the rug was no longer slipping when the kids played. We put the coffee table back down, ottomans and all, and the rug hasn't budged in the least. Absolutely perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better result.

So far, the product seems to work well, once you get it installed. Installing it isn't bad either, but first you have to take it out of the package and unfold it, and the unfolding is a nightmare. I'd like to have a word or three with the numbskull who decided to pack this thing folded down the long dimension, sticky side to sticky side. Maybe that's not a problem with the very small pads, but for a room-size rug, peeling the pad from itself is an unacceptably frustrating and exhausting experience. An extra piece of plastic sheet inside that first fold would make a world of difference.

Our rug was CONSTANTLY bunching up, going askew, etc. - even the times when the kids weren't using our living room and it got minimal traffic. We tried various carpet tapes all around the edges & in the middle which never actually helped. We were about to despair and either roll up the rug, or use nails to pin it to the carpet underneath. But for the price of the rug (which I bought while traveling in India), putting holes in it or not displaying it at all would have been sad. Thank goodness we found this solution! It's not an adhesive, so I was wary of this helping, but it does work!!! The rug occasionally still "ripples" along the edges, but we use the room it's in a lot (including on the floor with the baby), and short of gluing/nailing the rug to the carpet I don't think there would be anything that would prevent that from happening. It even makes my neatnik husband happy that he only has to adjust the rug maybe once/week, rather than several times a day (no joke). Yay for Gorilla Grip!

I bought this pad to prevent a rug from sliding on the carpet. It's great! No more daily tugs and pulls to get the rug back to where I wanted it. I did have to trim off a bit around two of the sides but it was easy to install. There was a tiny chemical odor at first but an open window and fan eliminated that within a couple hours.

We moved into a new house that has a carpeted living room area. I purchased a living room rug I love last year and wanted it to stay in my living room despite having carpet. We tried it without a rug pad but it just kept bunching up on one side. I found this rug pad and read positive reviews about how it was stopping that from happening even under people’s dining room tables. Sadly, it didn’t even make it a day before it came off placement and made even MORE bumps and lumps in the rug then before the pad. We were super disappointed, as our rug is 8x10 and this pad wasn’t cheap. We wasted our money on a sticky film of felt that will now go in the trash.

Terrible! Does not grip area rugs. I bought this to hold a washable rug in place at the entrance of my sunroom which has wall to wall indoor outdoor carpet. It does stick to the room carpet but area rug still bunches up and slides around. The rug gripper does not have enough grip to hold it in place. Could not return since I disposed of the packaging.

I have light coloured wall to wall carpet right up to an outside door so I put a big mat (or area rug) on top to protect the carpet. Problem was it kept sliding around / bunching up and I was straightening it out several times a day, so annoying! This GORILLA GRIP thing is the bomb! I only wish I bought one sooner! I didn't actually believe anything could hold the mat (2 m X .75 m) in place but it does! If you have this problem, don't hesitate! You NEED this!

i used it for a runner in front of the sofa....not sure if it is washable

Its just OK. My carpet keeps creeping - just not as much as before. Needs adjustment every couple of days.
