These books...wow they gutted me. Rex and Rynna had a sort of enemies to lovers relationship. Rex was devastated by the loss of his first love and abandoned by his first wife, causing him to build walls all around his heart. His priority was his baby girl, he had no time for distractions. Then he met Rynna who managed to capture the love of him and his sweet daughter Frankie Leigh even though he pushed her away at every turn. Scared of his past demons. The way this couple overcame so many obstacles to end unlimited was beautiful.The next story was about Kale and Hope. All of the stories were good, but this one was my favorite. Kale the self proclaimed bachelor doctor for life was thrown way off his planned life path when he met Hope. He was intensely connected to her from the beginning. Her life was in shambles, so she kept turning him down. Their paths collided again and lightning stroke. Kale was instantly protective over her son Evan, sweet Evan. Evan was deaf from the complications of heart surgery and had some problems with his vision. They went through so much and Kale was gutted as when his past collided with his present. I went through so many emotions with them. When things finally came full circle I felt so happy for them. Mind you this isn't real that's how you know it was really good.Ollie and Nikki had been friends forever. Bound by a common thread which was their relationship with Sydney, Ollie's little sister. When Sydney went missing their relationship was torn apart. Love delayed for over 10 years. This story shed light on some secrets from the other books and rounded out the series perfectly. This author is amazing. Anytime you are able to evoke emotions from your readers and cause them to truly care about your characters you are doing something right!

I am a big fan of short series that has individual stories, but also a story arc that spans multiple books. And honestly, my sweet spot for those story arcs is around 3-4 books. This was the perfect series. 3 amazing stories by themselves with a tragic story arc that impacted all 3 heroes and one heroine. From page one of the series, we are left wondering what happened to Sydney, the final hero’s sister, one fateful night when she just disappeared. Each story follows 3 friends, with their own struggles and backstory, while they find love again and come to terms with that tragic fateful night.A.L. Jackson, as always, spins a tale that shows how hard love is. She gives life to characters who are complex, full of feeling, and realistically imperfect. If you love a romance with a suspenseful twist, this entire series is for you. Full of emotion, angst, amazing characters, and also heat, I enjoyed it from cover to cover!

I really liked the first two book in the collection but hated the third. The h is a doormat used by the H when he felt it off sorts, for lack of a better term. I understand the horrible thing that happened in the past but you can't keep giving someone hope and push them away when you get what you want. The title of the third book should have been, The Doormat and the Jerk.

Absolutely had a great read , every one had their own life battle to overcome and they did as friends. I love the story line . If you want to understand go ahead have a great read.

This is a new to me author. Before this week, I had never heard about A.L. Jackson. I am very happy I did. This series is very good. I know I will be looking at the back list for this author.

This series has kept me glued to the pages! Sleepless nights are a thing because of the excitement going on ;)

I really enjoyed this series. The last book was by far my favorite. I’m glad we finally found out what happened to Sydney.

These books were amazing. Strong men and the women who love them. All very different but entwined and work so good together. ,my first A.L Jackson books and definitely won’t be the last as they were terrific. Full of the feels. Very ugly cries and lots of laughter, really enjoyed myself and can’t wait to read more.

In a nutshell: Three books and three tortured males letting their pasts dictate their futures. Three woman who were willing to work through the baggage and claim their men. Each of these three stories are brilliant. All characters are linked in the three books and the men are childhood friends all dealing with past trauma that has affected their lives. Great read thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.

Well written, enjoyable with engaging storylines with interesting plot development.Loveable characters. Tough broken Alpha males and the fiesty loving females that they come to adore with some super cute kids.

Loved Rex and Rynna, . kale and Hope . And lastly Olie and Nikki All stories are of some kind of Heartbreak pain but showing what comes from that pain Love can be found forgiven and cherished .

Highly recommend this series. Characters are all great, strong storylines and kids that make you go ah. Was hoping that hoods friend would be included in a book but not seeing that so far. Author is on my must read list.
