New Trent iPad Case for iPad Pro 12.9 case 2nd Generation, Heavy Duty Full-Body Rugged ipad 12.9 Case, Built-in Screen Protector, for Old Model 1st & 2nd Generation ONLY, NOT for 3rd Gen iPad Pro

I a a very clumsy person. I bought this case as. Way of protecting my new iPad Pro from accidental drops and spills. I frequently use my iPad as a notepad for taking handwritten and handdrawn notes during work / business. This case enables me to do this quite well. The iPad is entirely enclosed, but the screen cover is thin enough such that the iPad Pro stylus / smart pencil thingamajig is unaffected in its abilities. I particularly like the leather loop on the back s it makes it easier for my to hold the iPad with my left hand while taking handwritten notes with my right.I also use the iPad with a bluetooth keyboard. Here the pull out stand tab has come very much in handy. It can rotate through 360 degrees and enables my to position my iPad in portrait and landscape modes (and in one intentionally humorous instance, in diagonal mode). The pull out stand thingy is also useful for using the iPad as a personal TV screen when lying down. I can also perch the iPad on a table to watch the news while eating breakfast / dinner.So far, I have only dropped my iPad while in it’s case a couple times (from table height), and the case has definitely provided ample protection. I have yet to spill a whole bunch of liquid on the iPad + case, so stay tuned for future review updates on that.

First off, I'm pretty happy with this case! It is exactly what it looks like; it's functional, well built and offers a little more protection than I think I really need and doesn't look that bad.Now on to a few things you ought to be aware of: It's HEAVY, like about as heavy as the iPad itself, I'd guess. I wouldn't want to hold it for very long, maybe 5 minutes max. And it easily doubles the thickness. On the flip side, it is durable.The soft(er) plastic outer bumper is quite stiff and does take a few minutes to put on. The built in screen protector is good, if you thoroughly clean your screen you won't know it's there.Some old reviews mention that plastic parts of the kick stand break, at the end of 2021 all moving parts are completely metal, so no need to worry about that anymore.My only wish is that they included a few more detents for the hand strap rotation positions, 45 deg works, but doesn't feel completely natural.

First, a little bit of background:I had planned on buying a griffin. I had one for my old iPad 2 and it always served well except the stand, which was flimsy garbage that always seemed about to let the ipad fall over and broke after a year even though I was very careful with it. But it was the highest rated case and hey, an ipad pro is a freaking investment. So I order one at their exorbitant price and wait. 3 days later they cancel the order with no apology, just sorry... we're out of stock. This made me frustrated enough to be willing to try a company I'd no experience with.I ordered this case because it addressed two issues I'd had with my previous case: The stand and the awkwardness of holding a tablet. I was sort of expecting the case itself to not feel as protective and "finished" and "tight" as the griffin, but I was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this case. The plastic shell was tight and locked together firmly with absolutely no play. I knew immediately that I wouldn't have to worry about the thing popping apart. The rubber case was likewise perfectly fitted to the plastic shell. Granted, it takes a little work to get it on, but lets face it, how often are you gonna be taking the thing off? Take your time, and the thing fits like the proverbial glove with no bulges or loose pieces. I was seriously impressed. This put it definitely on-par with the case I'd had (which was twice the price) but the hand strap and stand made all the difference in the world. The stand is frikking metal I will never have to worry about it being wobbly or breaking. And, as a side note, I don't know if this is a coincidence or a feature, but that little finger hole for pulling out the stand works perfectly as a bottle opener.... which extra cred either way in my book. The rotating hand strap is comfortable and the leather is actually real leather (from the photos, I'll admit I kinda thought it'd be fake or thin) that grips the hand really well.All in all, I'd happily recommend this case to anyone. The only feature it does not have (and they're up-front about it) that the more expensive brand could claim is "waterproof" but those cases cease to be "waterproof" after 6 months anyway as the rubber breaks in on those annoying little "flaps". Don't go swimming with your iPad, mmkay.

I bought this to put on my iPad after I dropped it and cracked the screen so I could keep using it without spending hundreds on a new screen. Not only does it work great but when I clamped down the screen protector and turned my iPad back on, it had evened out all the cracks making some of them disappear and dramatically reducing the visibility of the rest. The touch screen still works flawlessly, it looks great, and feels very rugged and durable. The metal stand works perfectly, and slides in and out with an oddly satisfying snap that’s reminiscent of shutting the door on a luxury car. The leather strap is comfortable and high quality and the disc spins smoothly and snaps firmly into place ever 45 degrees. Wish I would have bought this years ago.

This I-Pad 121/2” Pro-Model protector fits like a glove…… the I-Pad screen stays clean, resists finger prints and works exactly as intended….. it’s way better than the Otterbox protector I had previously and is almost half the price.Dave O’

If I could give it no stars I would.It doesn’t fit an iPad Pro 12.9 screen. We bought an iPad Pro 12.9 screen and ordered this case when we got home. It’s arrived and apparently doesn’t actually fit this. It only fits old iPads and not the current one. Absolutely fuming as this was expensive and now I’m having to pay to post it back recorded to America. Terrible description of product. It’s too big for the current iPad Pro - I hope this review helps someone else not buy it and waste so much money.

Works very well for handling the new iPad in a tricky environment, secure and safe.
