How is the light function? What color? How bright?

It illuminates like a mustard yellow color. The button itself is a bit stiff to push(at least for me). You have to keep pressing the button for the light function to iluminate long enough to see the time, unlike with other watches where you push the button and it stays on for a couple of seconds. Overall it gets the job done. At least it has a light function unlike my other favorite mini casio watch.

Is this water resistant? It says "water resist" on product picture but "not water resistant" on product description.

This watch is water resistant, wearable while water is being splashed but not under any pressure.

What does the backlight look like on this model?

The light beam emits from the left side of the watch face and illuminates fairly well. To turn the light on, press the right lower button when in time of day mode.

Does the stopwatch function go to the hundreth of a second, or does it only show a stopwatch up to 100 seconds?

the stop watch range is 59 minutes 59.99 seconds.
