TMH 10 Pcs 3/4 Inch Clear Lens Red LED 3 Diodes Round Clearance Side Marker Indicator Lights with Rubber for Pickup Truck Trailer 12V DC

I read in many of the negative reviews before ordering this product of complaints about water getting into these lights, especially in boat trailers, as they must sometimes back into the water to off-load their boats. Every other review seemed to rave about the brightness, so, upon receiving them, I immediately slid the rubber housing off of one of the amber ones and noticed that the amber material itself was a single, seamless casting, which is great. On the back of the casting (where the electronic components are slid into place), this entire area was completely encased in resin, so I knew that wouldn't be the problem. Then, I noticed that the only thing sticking out of the resin, were the two wires, which were inside of a piece of heat shrink. Oddly, the heat shrink wasn't shrunk to the wires. So, I decided to test my theory that the water ingress was due to the fact that the heat shrink was basically acting like a straw around the wires, which would allow water to bypass the resin and seep directly into the electronics, undermining all of the other well-designed components and yes, once I dunked it into water, the problem was obvious. As I kept the heat shrink above water, there was no water ingress, once I dipped the entire open end of the heat shrink into the water, the entire light filled with water, ruining it. So, the fix is super simple, I filled the open portion of the heat shrink with elastomeric caulk, then I used a heat gun and applied heat to the shrink, and viola! A perfect seal. Now, complete submersion and no problem. I then tested a light on my benchtop power supply and ran it through voltages from 6V to 14.4V. The light did not function until about 9V, then stopped getting brighter at around 12.5V, although it functioned at 14.4V without problem. However, to prevent early failure of the LEDs, I put an H5K2 Mini-360 Buck Converter (Steph-Down Module) in-line to limit current from my RV to 12V exactly. This ensures that the LEDs will have a long, long life, as they will never receive spike voltages or continued high voltages assaulting the electronics. *I'm an electronics engineer, so I hope I haven't lost anyone and that this helps some of you out there * Anyways, thanks greatly for an overall nice product at a great price!

I bought these lights over three years ago and I can say they are really nice! The brightness is perfect for marker lights on vehicles (that’s what I used mine for), they have lasted really well. I’m extremely rough with them and unfortunately 2 of them had gone out over the course of time along with one of them being about half brightness. I contacted the company and they were very quick to respond, I explained the situation and asked if they had a warranty. They had me send photos of the lights that went out, next thing I know they had a package out to me the next day with some replacement, and with more lights than had gone out! Great customer service and I love the product! I highly recommend these lights!

I bought these lights to make my dump trailer more visible to the other motorists on the highway. Easy to install. Super bright, and as of this day, they seem to last.

These are an inexpensive option for adding LED marker lighting to anything. They seem to be fairly well made and for less than $1.00 each they seem to work well. They are plenty bright. I purchased both the amber and the red, both with the smoke gray lens. They are easy to instal in a 12v application. They do not come with anything except the light, wire lead and rubber grommet. You will need to figure out your wiring configuration and how they are switched. (Google). I would buy again. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is because of the fading of the lens in the Texas sun. So far it hasn't caused any Ashe with them working. And I have several leftover from the package of 10, so if they get too discolored I will just replace.

These seem to be well made, I have 4 of them set up in a bridge rectifier circuit as the taillight for my bicycle. I’m running them in a fairly harsh way and so far they are holding up. Probably reasonable quality leds. The potting into the plastic lens seems well done, they should last well in the wet and grim on the road. Bright enough for what they are.

Been buying these from Amazon..same led lights my supplier wants 14.99 each.They are great value for my shop use.

Installed on my sled deck, they are good.
