I have a 17 inch dv7 with a Core i7-3630QM CPU @2.4 Ghz – 12 GB RAM and this beast of a laptop sucks up the juice just as fast as it can get a hold of it. This Old but Reliable beast finally developed an issue with the re-charging circuit. Of course I would inspect the battery condition and sure enough that was the issue. I like many others have gone through the rig-a-ma-roll with HP seeking a correct replacement part and it is not pleasant at all. It’s amazing that company doesn’t come apart by the seams.But then Eureka!!! I find a replacement battery on Amazon.com. This Sletech Inc replacement model had all the right specs listed on the web site that matched the specs information on the bottom of my old stock battery. It took all but a minute to verify that this was my solution to my problem. The simple but important pictures listed on the website made all the difference. Something that HP can’t accomplish. So full Kudos to Sletech Inc.When it comes to the performance of this battery, I have to say that this replacement battery is better than the original battery that came stock with this computer. This company and this product are overwhelmingly deserving of a 5 Star Review. Well Done... Now go back to work and figure out how to fit nuclear reactor in to a laptop battery for long batter life (LOL - JK)

My laptop is a beast. But it wasn't charging in the last month. (Fingers crossed,) I bought on Amazon what I hoped would be the right replacement since in the past, the battery I ordered from Amazon didn't work. The only thing then that made me order a new battery was the alert I got every time I turned on my PC. But my IT guy told me to ignore the alert as my installed battery was fine.Not this time around tho. I got my replacement today and am just delighted. It works splendidly on my 10 y/o laptop, and has almost fully charged my laptop after less than 15 minutes. So, I'm one happy camper!

Update: I have had this battery for just about a month now and have noticed significant decline in the length of time the battery lasts. On a full charge, I get 3 hours and 20 minutes. That is already an hour and a half less than just a month ago! And it's not like I am on my laptop all of the time. I use it for school work on the weekends. Very disappointing.Original post: Can't comment on the longevity since I have only had this battery for about a week, but it does work as intended. I have used it to replace my old battery in my HP Pavillion Dv6 laptop from 2013. After 7 years, my old battery would no longer hold a charge for more than an hour. This one gives me about 5 hours on a full charge which is decent considering the age of the computer and charger. I wanted to purchase a battery from HP but they no longer make these so I am glad I found this on Amazon. I'm very happy with this replacement battery. My one complaint is that it does not sit perfectly inside the laptop, it sticks out maybe 1 to 2 mm which is a little annoying, but I can look past it.

This was a very good buy for my HP laptop. I had ordered this one because my previous battery was not getting charged at all and I was getting a message when I boot up my machine every time that the battery is faulty and needs to be replaced. I looked up this product by looking at the model number behind the old battery. It was a perfect fit when it reached and took less than a minute to replace. Very good buy and I have been using it extensively for about a week now and it is going great so far.

When I received this battery I thought "oh no! this isn't the right battery, it won't fit!" It doesn't look anything like my old battery, it's slim and flat whereas the old battery had a rounded bottom so it didn't look anything like the old one and I was ready to send it back. My sister said at least try it and I am so happy I did! I was a little worried trying to connect it thinking I might damage the battery port but with minimal effort it wen in smoothly and has been operating like a champ. The best thing about it is with the slender, flat profile it now makes it easier to slip in a suitcase or bag to take with me. Other good news is that it came so quickly, I ordered it at 8:40AM on September 19 and on September 20th at 1:47PM I had it in my hands. After years of use, the battery on my HP ENVY dv7 was holding less and less charge, and needed to be replaced. I typically prefer Original equipment as a replacement, however, HP is no longer making these batteries, and I needed to rely on a 3rd party to help me out. I took a chance on this product, and have not been disappointed! It was easy to install, and works perfectly! Best of all, what a great value, even if I should happen to have to buy another one next year! This battery does NOT have the leg on it that extends downward, which elevates the rear of you laptop. It is flat, but still recommend it, and would/will buy it again.....if needed.

I had my laptop since 2014, but I didn't realize that battery lose life, I'm now back to full power with my favorite Laptop, Thank you.
