Wi-Fi card just as advertised
purchased over 2 months ago. used frequently as I have 2 little ones. I am using a Nikon D3000 DSLR cameracard works flawlessly just like any normal SD card, speeds of looking through pictures on the camera are better than my previous card. this should be standard since it is an SD card.for the Wi-Fi aspect the card emits a strong signal , usually sending pics from camera to phone, no more than 20 feet away at all times. pictures transfer fast [usally 1 to 2 seconds for the 2 to 3 MB pictures]The only downside to this card is the app for your phone. the app allows you to view pictures with extreme ease but when you want to download one to the phone, then upload it to a social media site this is where the issues arise. you can download to your camera but once downloaded no button shows up on how to directly upload to a social media site, so you have to go into your gallery and choose the picture.I gave it 5 stars because the app is easy to fix with an update and the cards works as advertised.

Does Its Job
Doesn't get five stars only because it is capable of things I haven't tried so can't judge.I have a Nikon Coolpix P7700, one of the cameras listed as "compatible" for this card. Bought the Transcend after finding Nikon's own wi-fi plug-in gadget does not work with this camera. After a lot of study, including all the complaints and mishaps, I bought this card because I was pretty sure it would do exactly what I want at a good price. Card arrived a couple of days earlier than I expected (with a neat text message from Amazon essentially telling me to go look in the mailbox) and setup was easy with the iPhone and the camera. I stress here that I read all the instructions carefully and repeatedly before doing anything. I do not want an Internet connection. I do not want to batch-load pictures into my iPhone. I don't shoot raw mode. I want to be able to see my camera's pictures in thumbnails on the iPhone, pick one or two, load them into my camera roll in the iPhone and email them or send them to Facebook with some text. The device does all that fast and easily, just what I want. One con: Relatively short wi-fi range. I'm getting loss of connection at anything more than 6 feet. On the other hand I don't expect to need that range any time soon.

Works Well. Fast Transfer.
I have seen reviews stating the connections frequently drop. In my case, I found that it was due to the auto-power off feature on my camera. Once I disabled the feature, the connection has been very stable. The Android app is very quick and reliable. You can browse the card and transfer, or set it to automatically transfer pictures as they are taken. You can connect to a common hotspot or use peer-to-peer. Both work equally well and switching between the modes is easy (on the camera, you delete a "picture" of the mode you want to use, which sets it to that mode instead of deleting that "picture").I purchased this to tweet photos from my Canon T3. The common hotspot method works best for that. However, when a hotspot is not available, I have to switch from peer-to-peer wifi mode to 4G to tweet the photos out. The Twitter app will not use 4G to tweet when peer-to-peer wifi is active.

When it works, it works well... Pass on this card!
Plug and Play in my Canon 60D. plugged the Transcend 16GB Wi-Fi SDHC Class 10 memory card into my Canon 60D, powered on the camera, connected to the cards Wi-Fi through the iPhone and iPad application and could immediately see my photos. Does not seem any slower than my Transcend 32GB SDHC without Wi-Fi card so I am a happy camper. My primary use for this card is for my wife, who is the one that edits my pictures, to have access to them when she wants and where she wants. I can not tell you how many times she makes me set up a computer just to pull one or two pictures off my camera so that she can share them with friends. Now with this card she can download any picture anytime either with her phone or her tablet. So why 4 stars and not 5??I don't think it is to much to ask for the application used to connect to this Wi-Fi card have settings to enable it to automatically switch to the Wi-Fi SSID of the card when it is opened. Even though this is only a few extra clicks/steps i find it a bit annoying to have to manually go through the process of signing into the cards Wi-Fi before the app can be used. If permissions for this are blocked by Apple than maybe just a way, within the Transcend app, to quickly adjust or even a one click link to get to the adjustment within the devices settings of the Wi-Fi. This would help and push my rating to a 5 star.Edit 2/10/14:I have been using this card now for a while and have come across some issues...- This card regularly does not accept or save images while shooting.-- There is no warning for this, it just does not save the image(s).-- This is the only Transcend card that I have ever had do this.- The transfer of images via WiFi is very inconsistent. (I do have my camera set to always on, no time out!)- On occasion I need to turn the camera on and off a few times to even get the WiFi signal to show up. (I did give the card ample time to start.)-- I only shoot RAW.-- I did try with JPEG but all results were the same except the transfer speed of images was significantly faster. (This is no surprise as the files are much smaller.)-- I transfer from my camera to my iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone and Droid Bionic. All devices except the Droid are brand new!--- iPad, when I can connect to the cards WiFi, works ok from a foot or two away. Any farther away and the speed is ridiculously slow. The WiFi connection drops often for no apparent reason. Moving files from the WiFi card worked perfectly, when I could connect and the connection didn't drop.--- iPad Mini, when I can connect to the cards WiFi, works ok from a foot or two away. The speed decreases after that distance but not as significantly as my iPad. The WiFi connection drops much more often than my iPad for no apparent reason. Moving files from the WiFi card worked perfectly, when I could connect and the connection didn't drop.--- iPhone, when I can connect to the cards WiFi, works ok from a foot or two away. The speed decreases after that distance but again not as significantly as my iPad. I don't do any editing from my iPhone, just used it as a testing device to view pictures.--- Droid Bionic, connects the best out of all the devices however the connection does drop every once in a while, not as much as any of the other devices. The card works good up to about 4-5 feet away, then the speed drops and I get significantly more connection drops. I don't do any editing from my Droid, just used it as a testing device to view pictures. I was able to transfer files over to the phone perfectly fine, while connection lasted.I still give the card 3 stars as when it does work it works well. However I will most likely either send it back or use it in a camera I don't use as often as my Canon 60D as having images not save consistently is a HUGE issue for me. I have been counting pictures and checking it against my shutter actuations and I keep coming up with 3-4 files missing from the card. I take +100 per week and one of those files missing could have been my "keeper" file. Again, I have never had this issue on any of my other Transcend cards.Update:I have been trying to use this card in my Cannon 60D as it didn't seem right to use a card of this price in a camera that is sub par to my Cannon 60D. This card does not like my camera I guess because it fails quite often. Because of this I now always carry a spare SD card and watch for the error on my camera. This hard has really never worked to its full stated ability. If I could I would send it back and just get another non wifi SD card as they are much more reliable. One day I will upgrade my camera body and at that point I am sure wifi, or some other wireless technology, will be a standard feature as it almost is right now. I still leave it rated 3 stars as it does work sometimes, and when it does it is fun to use. I am no pro photographer so it is not the end of the world if I loose a couple images here and there. It sucks but I have a back up SD card for the important photo shoots.
