Excellent price&quality for.home/restaurant use; better than high priced ones I've seen in stores.
This is so awesome! I've made 2 Canadian bacons from pork loin smoked Turkey breast and chicken breast lunchmeat and was able to slice it nice and thin. It's not hard to clean but does take about 20 minutes to do. I've adjusted the food carrier bracket as close to the blade as is properly safe and no longer have the thick nubs of remainder meat left over when done(to my husband's disappointment ha ha). Excellent quality no problems the blade is wicked sharp so no need to force the meat or carrier just smooth steady strokes and 3lbs of meat is slice in about 5min.

Heavy duty home slicer, works on cheeses
We bought this because our old slicer was just not doing it for us. We typically like to slice our own meats, cheese or veggies. Again, old slicer couldn’t handle cheeses. This slicer will cut your blocks of cheese (think Costco 5 lb cheddar blocks), frozen meat, larger veggies and most everything that we bought it for. It IS big and heavier, but works like a dream. What this does with a medium rare roast is wonderful...nice and thin like deli meat. Very nice.

Is workable to use and suffice as a home slicer
At first i was disappointed because the manual is not very easily understood and it is clear that whoever wrote it English was not their first language. It would also have been helpful if the manual included more pictures to help explain what it was trying to relate to the user. That being said, I was able to figure out mostly by trial and error as to how to properly assemble the slicer. The slicer is very quiet and easy to use however I had to overpower the slicer handle back and forth to make it easier to slice back and forth. I also would of liked to have had a link to purchase a cover for the unit within Amazon. I was able to find a cover through the use of a search engine

Best value to date in a Home Meat Slicer
It is durable and money well spend it, although you need to disassemble a little to clean. It slices meat the same as you would expect from the deli counter in your local grocery.

Cleaning is hard, and dangerous!
I bought this in 2017 the firest review I did was not listed. So this is the 2nd one. This is not easy to clean and sanitize, the blade guards is very difficult to remove and harder to put back on. The adjustment knob is hard as hell to turn and only Alows for cuts under ½ inch. As noted in other reviews it through scraps off the back of the blade. Don’t even lad a finger on it with-out cut resistant gloves, wheaten cutting or cleaning. The sliding tray dose not hold food square and will cause uneven slicing, and due to the large gap cutting the last few slices is next to impossible. I always end up cutting the last few slices by hand. If you still order this be sure to order food grade lubricant, because you will need it. These thoughts are mine and my opinion alone.

For jerky
Works perfect. We use it to make strips for jerky and for sandwiches .. my husband loves it. It’s large but he cleared a spot for it lol we’ve been having the butcher cut our strips but they aren’t consistent, now we have perfect cuts every time .. we freeze the meat overnight then slice it. Fantastic and my husband says it cleans up real easy.

Pay Attention to the bearing disk in meat, absolutely can't make the bearing plate is in the position of the blade!... WHAT!?
I will update later about the quality of the machine and longevity... in the meantime: This unit gets a single star. The "directions" are in English... but makes about as much sense as if they had thrown darts at a dictionary and added the words randomly. This sort of sloppy work is inexcusable. Here is a quote: "Please cautiously read usage manual before use my plant product. Moreover and specifically notice: The First: In the Manual of whets knife and regulation, particularly notice the method that the front whets knife: Wanting to slightly press to fix the knife emery wheel hand handle about a second can immediately, the most can't over 2 seconds, the hair of razor blade stabs to throw away then, otherwise the razor blade will change bluntness."It gets even worse from there!Pay Attention to the bearing disk in meat, absolutely can't make the bearing plate is in the position of the blade!... WHAT!?Laziness.... sheer laziness.UPDATE:After first use (and a lot of cleanup) I have to say that this thing is poorly manufactured. I am returning it just after this review. I am shocked at the number of "good" reviews this slicer has been getting. It sure convinced me to buy. I wish I hadn't.Screws: 5 screws (by my count) were damaged while manufactured (or this is USED and cleaned up for resale/whichever ). This made it difficult (and impossible in some cases) to remove hardware for cleaning. Let me repeat that. It is impossible to clean this slicer properly due to the design and the damage present in the hardware used for manufacture.Guides are too pliant, and strike the blade under use!The surface where food that is sliced is collected is too small, not of a proper slope/angle, and creates a dam that must be cleared constantly.Considering the faults of this unit... the most egregious is the fact that cleaning is so difficult or even impossible (in my case). This slicer is in contact with food. You can not simply use a feather duster to clean it. It must be dissembled and cleaned properly.... or you will become sick.Since my goal was to slice food first... and not die of food poisoning second... this is a pass for me. Strike three is the deplorable manual that is absolutely, and laughably useless to anyone (since it is nonsense "English" and not even in it's native Chinese so even the Chinese couldn't decipher it).I was also very alarmed (since I do have Children that are sometimes not civil) to read:Children and without civil capacity or with limited capacity for civil conduct of the person are prohibited from playing in the near the machine, in order to avoid danger.Try as I might, I could not stop my civil limited children from playing in the near machine. So this was a dangerous item in my household. I am returning it and stand by my 1 star rating 100%.
