Very solid and entertaining Who, and certainly not "the worst" as the previous reviewer has said!
Actually, by anyone's standards, this is a pretty good season of Doctor Who, not IMHO the absolute pinnacle, but it's still very much worth watching as Tom Baker's swansong, especially in its upscaled and upgraded Blu-Ray form. I've already got the limited edition Blu-Ray from another source but felt I had to balance the flawed and inaccurate lone "review" above with one celebrating its content and style. To be honest, I can't praise these releases highly enough! Doctor Who fans are very lucky to have what is arguably the most lovingly tended set of DVDs and Blu-Rays ever, with this being an excellent example. The attention to detail from the team responsible for these is second to none and really puts the output of other optical media production houses to shame. Here we have wonderful 5.1 surround mixes, new CGI special effects and a whole plethora of amazingly well produced extras, many of which have been specially made for the Blu-Ray. What's not to like? This re-release is an fantastic opportunity for those who missed out on the first (extremely) limited edition release to experience these stories in possibly the most polished form you're ever likely to see them in. Definitely recommended!!!

A fresh, exciting, retool for the fourth Doctor
This season smashes you over the head like a pan-galactic gargle-blaster. The previous season was beginning to feel a little tired and an update was desperately needed to bring the show into the 1980s. And season 18 absoultely succeeds. The new musical palette, now provided by the radiophonic workshop, is absolutely gorgeous right from the opening bars of the Leisure Hive. The Doctor has a new outfit, there are updated visual effects and a new title sequence.Meglos provides fans of the show with a rare treat with the return of regular 1960s cast member, Jaqueline Hill, which is a joy to see.The season features a fun experimental trilogy set in "E-Space", where things are just a little different to normal space, and it is here that we say farewell to Romana, and meet Adric. We're also treated to the stunning "Keeper of Traken", which is thoughtful, reflective and a very charming tale, unlike any story which had gone before. And, as the coupe de grace, the Master makes his overdue return, and is reincarnated into the classic Anthony Ainley persona. The season has so much to offer. The stories are terrific fun, and provide a really nice variety. The special features and the remastering of the boxset are all excellent too.Don't listen to the naysayers, who basically hate this season because John-Nathan Turner took over as producer and Tom Baker exited the series. No, this is Doctor Who at its 1980s high point.

Extremely under rated! Go in with no previous knowledge
One of my favourite seasons of Doctor Who. It’s a really great shift in the show that makes it stand out from all the rest. The more sci fi lead approach is one I find fascinating and it still retains a sense of style and fun.You got fantastic stories like Logopolis, Full Circle, State of Decay and Keeper of Traken. Some fun ones like Warriors Gate and Meglos and an under rated bit of fun with Leisure Hive. Can’t go wrong and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting something unique and something a lot better than Chibnall who. Also Tom Baker gives a fantastic performance as usual.

Classic Doctor. Classic Adventures.
Forget the bitter taste of Doctor Woke and it's anti-men/anti-white agenda, this is real Doctor Who.
