Perfect for my girl!
My 10 week old daughter is quickly becoming more and more interested in what is going on around her. It's only been within the last couple of weeks since we've been going to a Baby Sensory class that she's shown an interest in toys. The only things I've really bought her before now are play mats and things she can lay on or in so this toy was a bit of a risk.I'm not quite sure whether this toy is a butterfly or a firefly (maybe because Lamaze do a firefly version) so I call it whatever I decide on any particular day. Size wise this is 14 x 34.5 x 6.4 cm and it was much bigger than I expected it to be. I never really look at sizes when buying on Amazon, although I really should do, so this could have turned out to be tiny. The toy has a stripy pink body, pink head with antennas and four brightly coloured wings; two of which have a pattern and make a crinkly noise when touched while the other two are soft with ribbon tags coming off them. The main body and wings on the toy feel really nice. Even the wings that crinkle are still made from a silky material so they're very nice for babies to touch and explore. Each part of the main body is also really easy to grab hold of for small fingers. Not only is this a lovely soft toy but it comes with additional play items. On the right side between the wings are two rings, one in blue and one in pink each of which has a ridged edge. At the bottom of the right wings is a really soft, rubber leaf with raised details. Coming off the bottom is a pink mirror with hot pink stripes around the edge. Coming off the bottom wing on the left is a plastic see through flower with 8 tiny little plastic balls inside which makes a noise when shook. Each additional toy is attached by a pink loop of ribbon. This toy really has a lot to stimulate a baby's senses. My daughter can't quite hold this herself yet but the look on her face when I help her to feel the different parts is fantastic. She looks so shocked and surprised when something changes. I know when she can hold this herself there will be a lot of banging it around to try to make noises... she loves to be noisy! The blue and pink rings will double as teething rings and I'm sure she'll be fascinated when she can see her own reflection in a mirror.Another great thing about this toy is the clip on the back of the toy which is attached with a long piece of pink ribbon. The clip is bright green and can be used to attach the toy to prams, car seats and the arches you get with expensive play mats. You can also buy extra clips to add on if you need it to dangle from a higher distance. As this has very quickly become Erin's favourite toy I had been too scared to take it out with us in case I lose it. However, one of my husband's friends at work bought Erin another one, not knowing we had it already so at least now I've got a spare to keep at home! For £5.60 I really couldn't be happier with this toy. My daughter loves it and there is loads to do for her now and when she's a bit older. Lamaze toys are expensive but Bright Starts do some great alternatives!

Love at first site
We bought this toy for my daughter, who is about to turn 3 months. Out of all the toys we have for her, this is her FAVORITE! Out of all the toys she has, she doesnt really reach for any other toy, or play with any other toy, except for this one. The teething toys on the ends are small enough for her to grab onto, and put in her mouth. Other teething toys we have boughten her, are too thick/big for her to grab onto, and too big for her mouth. She loves watching the butterfly as she kicks, pulls at, grabs, etc. She even loves talking to the butterfly! We hang this toy on the part of her play mat that goes over her head. we even take it off and put it in the carseat with her, and she holds onto it like its her lovey. It is easy to take off and put onto things, and small enough to take everywhere.

Good, but don't use unsupervised.
When I first bought this, my daughter didn't care about it at all. However, once she got a bit older she grew to love it (around 3-4 months if I remember correctly), so she probably just wasn't ready. It has lots of different bits for her to play. Taking one star or for the leaf part, which is a bit big - if allowed, she will shove it all the way in the back of her mouth, gagging herself on it. But as long as she doesn't use it unsupervised, it's a good toy.

My daughter loves this toy
I paid £5 for this as it was on offer and see it as one of my best buys so far for my little baby. My baby had just started showing an interest in toys at 3 months old so I wanted to get her something bright and colourful with lots of different textures and activities to keep her brain engaged. I have bought several Lamaze and Playgro toys and I feel this budget friendly Bright Starts version is comparable to all of them. My daughter adores this toy, it keeps her entertained in the car seat and bouncer, she has started chewing on the leaf attachment to soothe her teething and she loves the crinkle wings. All in all a well designed toy for aiding development and a great purchase!

We love it!!
After eyeing up this toy for a while, I bought it as a pram toy for my 4 month old daughter. Unfortunately it was a bit too big and clunky for the carrycot, so I tried putting it on her baby gym and swing at home instead... MASSIVE SUCCESS!!!!! She absolutely loves playing with it - I've had a lot of peace from her as a result, and her hand-eye coordination has dramatically improved! There are so many great features to the toy (like scrunchy fabrics, little tags, mirror, teething rings and rattle!), but my daughter particularly prefers the leaf bit, which is rubberised for chewing. I thoroughly recommend this, especially at such a good price! And it would make a fab gift too!

Lovely playmates!
I bought 2 of these bright starts flutter & Link friends for my new little grand-daughter. as she's only 4 weeks old I havent given them to her yet but I'm sure she'll be thrilled with them. 1 for her pram and 1 for her baby gym etc. They are very colourful with lots of activities on them and I'm sure will amuse little Madeleine immensly when she gets them next week. very good value for money - especially as I bought them at half price too! Very impressed and would definately recommend them to others.

the baby liked it
I can't speak from personal experience but the 5 month old I gifted it to seemed delighted with this toy, so much so I got a picture from her mum a few days later to prove this butterfly had been well and truly thrown around, chewed and drooled on enough to have survived unscathed and it has been accepted into the toys she will happily play with for ages.I'm happy with it, she's happy with it and it's still in one piece. What more could you want?

Would highly recommend this product
Brought this for my 2 month old daughter who gives a super gummy gorgeous smile at the butterfly and it makes loads of noises so very easily keeps her attention. Even my 18 month old nephew kept coming back to play and forth to play with it and feel all the different textures and shake it to make the noises, bless him. Very big size and I would of been very happy with it if someone brought it for me as a gift. Would highly recommend.
