The quality of this lens is really impressive. I have to say, the packaging is gorgeous - opening it was a real pleasure; it would really add something special to any gift. The only thing that disappointed me was the ‘universal’ mount that wasn’t very universal at all. I’m trying to use it on an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it’s hopeless- the case has to be removed with each use for it to be useable at all and even then it’s very difficult to line up. I’m not at all keen on the screw tighten clamp on my screen either - it has a padded foot, but even so… There is an in-case adapter which looks like it will be much better if an when they are back in stock. But what a shame for an otherwise outstanding piece of kit!

I took a long time trying to decide which lenses to go for with Moment, Sandmarc and Shiftcam ending up on the shortlist. I finally decided on Shiftcam and bought these lenses plus their case with mount system. The quality of the lenses looked excellent and the case really well made. Just looking though the lens via the camera view the images looks superb. However, on taking any photo the results were a shock, Blurry and ghosted edges. I tried though Halide II, Moment and Procam apps shooting in RAW/ProRaw and all results were poor on either lens. Lens correction is off in IOS and I have used a tripod in almost every variation of app settings I can think of all to no avail.The issue could rest with Apple and the IOS processing algorythms and not the lenses. After researching the net it seems that some people have had problems with the native Iphone 13 pro max lens blur. I haven't with the native lenses. However, I see consistently high reviews on the Shfitcam - although interestingly mostly on other previous iPhone models. I'm now stuck wondering if to abandon them totally or wait to see if Apple happen to resolve the issue in further IOS updates. Should I risk trying Moment or Sandmarc to see if there really is an issue with the lenses themselves ? an expensive and tough decision to make. Surely Shiftcam would have tested these lenses on the Iphone 13 max ? Moment clearly state they have. it's unclear if Shiftcam have from their website...So in summary if you are buying these to use on an Iphone 13 pro Max I would advise you don't. Wait and see what internet chatter appears around them first. I can't be the only 13 user to have had this issue.

See title. The mounting insert is not good. The "universal" mount is ok but of course less seamless than what the case could have been in theory.

Doesn’t work great on my iphone 8 Plus. My purpose in buying the lens was to extend the 2x zoom on the iphone to 4x. However, the iphone wouldn’t use the 2x zoom in normal photo mode with the 1x zoom blocked by the edge of the shiftcam lens. The only way around this was to use portrait mode. The results from this were poor and most of the image out of focus and no greater definition even where it is in focus than without the shiftcam lens. The focus is central (or whereaver tapped) rather than being distance related, with the periphery falling badly out of focus — a very unprofessional look. I tried both with and without the phone cover on. In the picture you can see the clock is just about in focus but all the peripheral view is out. It is a shame because the lens looks well made and solid.

What an impressive lens – a massive landscape view with superb quality and sharpness. Feels very solid and well made too. Comes with a phone mount in the box which works with my iPhone 11 no problems. Love it!

Big thumbs up. I only ever write reviews for things which are truly outstanding or truly awful. This is the biz. The packaging is so nice, I kept it! Comes with a microfibre bag, quick start guide, manual, and best of all, a diffuser which clips onto the lens. The diffuser also doubles as a stand at just the right distance, and a good angle, for workable shots. Good thinking. It does clamp onto and over the phone screen, like most, which can interfere with its operation, but surely you're only, at that point, needing a camera?!? Unless someone calls...that might get fiddly....Overall, if you're looking for a good lens for macro/smartphone, this is it. The attached pic was taken from the sofa, with wobbly hands, as a "is it working?" attempt, as an example of what can be done by a total newbie, straight outta the box, in a dim room.God job gents.As a suggestion for improvement, the alignment marks on the mount could be easier to see for old farts like me, but to be honest, it's easier to align it using the screen.

The quality of these lenses is amazing. I bought the macro and telephoto.The huge issue is that the universal mount is terrible. I tried to use it on my old Galaxy but the pressure of the foot against the phone meant I either couldn't take any photos or the phone, with the pressure, thought it was my finger and didn't stop taking them. If I reduced the tightness, then the mount just swivelled about and was useless.I now have a Galaxy S23 Ultra and tried again, with the result of me dropping the phone the day I got it, it was so fiddly! The mount is a lot trickier to handle with this phone and I couldn't get it to attach over any of the phone lens.So, unfortunately, I'd say top pieces of kit but realistically can only be used with iPhones unless they start to make a proper Galaxy mount.

This is a very good zoom lens for iphone. I also have one of their iphone Macro lenses and I’ve been impressed with both so far.

Love this. Works really well for decent quality macro photography with my iPhone 11. It’s easy to attach and feels like great quality. Packaging was well designed.
