I ordered 6 of these chairs in black for my front porch and chose this particular chair because of the recycled material and it stated it folded, so I am disappointed that it doesn't easily fold (to fold you would have to remove 2 plastic pins and 2 bolts on each side, then reassemble which I don't think anyone would do to take this chair somewhere for an afternoon). I guess the folding feature would be used if you were to move, but that would be about it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble each chair from their boxes, with a rubber mallet and wrench of my tools and the little allen wrench provided. There is some flexibility in the chairs, but I believe it is just that type of material, it is the same type as my porch floor and it also was before building the porch, but has been extremely durable. They are also a bit on the small side, as we have bigger people in my family, but overall they are pretty nice, just wish they were a couple inches taller and maybe an inch wider, which some other brands are. My seven year old daughter sat in one, and it fit her comfortably, I am 5ft 9 and thought the seat and backrest could have been longer. I like that this model does not show the screws as much as some other brands of chairs, these are painted black, and often inserted from the back so you don't see at all. They are also pretty heavy, which in my mind is a good thing, as we are on a hill and with them being so low to the ground, hopefully they won't blow off. For the price, I would recommend. They look really really nice, looking forward to using them over the years.

Great chair for the price. Assembly was simple: unfold the chair as packed, insert two bolts and the accompanying washers and nuts and two large pegs. Maybe 5-6 minutes per chair. Most of that time is spent unfolding the chair in the right way and aligning the holes. These chairs are solidly built and very comfortable. Although I just purchased them, they seem like they are built to last. After ordering two, I am ordering two more.

My only complaint:Folding means disassembly, and easy to store flat. Assembly, also known as unfolding, would be comparatively easy for someone with a good spatial sense(hint:not me). To tell on myself, when I dumped the chair out of the box, I got it messed up so I had to get it back into the right position before unfolding and securing.Next time (there will be a next time) I will not waste money on "folding". The chair is very sturdy, comfortable, even attractive. I would buy a polywood chair again, just not folding.

This is a quality product. We also have a polywood bench that we have had for about three years and we love it. It is still in perfect condition, despite being left out in the cold, rain and snow all that time. This Adirondack chair is a great addition to our outdoor furniture. It is a little tough to put together...it helps to have two people to wrestle it into symmetry...to make the holes for the bolts line up...but in the end you will have a very fine chair to enjoy outdoors for a long time!

I am completely thrilled with this chair! I wanted 2 but there was a run on this popular product so I believe I bought the last one. Very sturdy but not clunky; thoughtful ergonomic design that is amazingly comfortable even without cushions. Fits average size adults very nicely. I now understand why these polywood chairs are so popular, excellent product in every way.
