Simple and dependable
I live in a very shady area of Fresno California and this solar water fountain works great. I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it does (because of all the shade). But because of the price, decided to try it out. Depending on the amount of sunlight it does receive, the fountain can spray up to 14 inches high or just dribble. The birds love it and don’t seem to mind the “adjusting” height of the water spray. And I like the fact that the pump will shut off if there is not enough water in the birdbath.

Love this! Only one issue.
The only problem with this is that it needs to be placed in something very large and/or needs some type of bumpers. It floats around near the edges and the water sprays out. Therefore it empties out quickly. Even if you rig some type of bumper, if it’s not placed in something large it will still spray out and lose water quickly.Otherwise, it works beautifully and will run for days on end.

Loved it for the 9 days it worked.
The media could not be loaded. This was great. But it stopped working after 9 days. I made sure the pump was clean, took the sprayer head off and checked it, and had changed the water this morning. The sun is shining on it full force. After reading the reviews, I expected better.

It Works! But Keep the Solar Panels under Water
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to replace the one that was dried up due to excessive sun exposure. This one works great but the small suction cups at the bottom of the pump don't stick on the my resin bowl so I put 2 stones on each side to keep the solar panels under water to last longer.

Nice
Love this fountain so much that I ordered another one for a friend. The suction on bottom does not stick to concrete but a heavy washier/nut makes it work great.

Didn't last!
Only worked for a few days.

Strong pump but no filter
Mine is in a fishless pond that is a nightly hangout for toads. It's just for looks. Sucks every little thing into the inlet, so I hose it off every day.Does not have a sponge filter in it like others I've had. But it's better than previous, regardless, because of the strongest wattage.

Works all day long!
The media could not be loaded. Update: it has been 14 months since we got this and it is still working! The solar panel looks worn but it helps keeping it underwater. I drilled some holes on the side to let air bubbles through. This solar fountain works great because it has a battery that makes it work all day even without direct sunlight. There is a light sensor so this doesn't work at night which is good to save the battery power for the day. The foam that makes it float was easily removed so the solar panels are underwater a bit in the bird bath. This should keep the solar panels clean for a long time. The pump puts out some power so to prevent losing water too much from wind blowing out of the bird bath, we had to use the "B" spray head by itself without the 30mm extender. This is shown in the video.

It works!
A must if you want something to attract birds and don't want to provide mosquitos with a place to breed. And it's pretty. I really like that it stores power and will run even when it isn't directly in the sun. This feature seems to work really well. I have it set up without any of the sprayers, so it just burbles - the sprays work really well, but end up depleting the water very quickly and I'd have to refill the bird bath 2x a day, 3x if it was both warm and windy.Cons - the suction cups on the base are pretty much useless and the unit just floats around on the surface of the water, I have had to weigh it down with rocks to keep it in one place. Also, the positioning of the power pack next to the water intake makes it pretty much impossible to clean the filter - fir needles or bits of leaf that get caught there are not going anywhere, you likely won't be able to get it out. My guess is that I'll have to replace the unit because of the filter over the intake will get completely blocked but the space is so tiny there's no way to clean it. You just end up pushing the material farther into the intake.

Stopped working after a month
Worked beautifully and then just stopped working after a month. For some reason it won’t let me return it.

Works
It does what it says it does, I like that you can take the floating part out and suction it down but the don't always stay stuck. Also doesn't work on a overcast day needs a lot of light

Excellent value for the price
The hardest working and productive solar fountain I have ever had. Delivered on time, set it up and it worked immediately, and continued to work even when it wasn't in direct sun, so it must store power. Works first thing in the morning before the sun is actually on it. Glad I bought two.
