I was sick of NVIDIA and stupid GeForce - GTX driver support has been a clown ...

I took the AMD plunge.I have never been a fan of AMD. Years ago, I had one laptop that had an AMD processor instead of Intel and was really underwhelmed - it ran very hot and unstable. I wanted to switch out my graphics card on my Alieware R4 Aurora - it was stocked with an NVIDIA GTX 660 and it was getting long in the tooth. I was sick of NVIDIA and stupid GeForce - GTX driver support has been a clown show since I upgraded to Windows 10 and plugging the 660 into my new 4K monitor caused it to crash. I was nervous about switching to AMD's Raedeon, but considering NVIDIA's price and horrible driver support, I was ready to "make the plunge".This is a FIVE STAR review. This is a very well manufactured item - sturdy with a slick design. It just looks cool. It was super easy to put into my Alienware Aurora R4 - just slid out the existing card and popped in the Raedon (Note to Aurora R4 owners- I did have to pry out an internal plastic door to get it to close back up again). Updated the display drivers in device manager then downloaded and ran the Raedon setting app which is MUCH better than NVIDIA's software. This card has fantastic performance - outputs games and video to 4K either over HDMI or Display Port. Runs games on ultra settings and streams 4K video from Youtube no problems. I would definitely recommend this card to a friend. It rules!

plugged this into an x58 board with a corei7 950 (bloomfield) at 3ghz and 12gb of bargain bin ddr3 1066. everything air cooled.fallout 4 - 60fps to 30fps on ultra (everything on the highest setting)doom (2016) 90fps to 60fps on ultraskyrimSE 60fps to 30fps on ultrabattlefield 4 80fps to 60fps on ultraim probably bottle necking this card with my dumpster parts but i had them before the ps4 launched and all i needed to do was go from an hd 6850 to this card to beat one.

Faulty product

My husband had a separate Sapphire for his computer and the graphics were spectacular on his PC. Thus, I decided to buy one for mine and I was sorely disappointed that I couldn't even use it.Upon installation of the software, I attempted to play a video game and the game wouldn't even start. So, I started a diagnostic run in which I tried to start all sorts of games up, from Mass Effect 1 to Dragon Age Inquisition. All gave me the same effect: wouldn't start at all. Thus, I thought, 'hmm, perhaps I had a bad installation of software.' Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the software for this graphics card. The games started but then they would immediately crash, giving me a DirectX function error.Just to see it wasn't my PC that was perhaps not compatible with this card, I changed it out and installed it in my husband's computer. It unfortunately, gave me the same exact error messages. So, I truly want to replace this card for one that actually works. While I know this company makes great cards, I just got the bad luck to receive a malfunctioning product.

RX 480 4GB

Got this to upgrade from a 7870 card I had in my old system. This helped to allow me to play DOOM and Skyrim Remastered on Ultra settings. It's a good budget card and fits well for any budget gaming rig. The 4 GB model has done fine so far, I haven't seen any performance issues from the games I have and streaming stuff in 4K is now so much faster, it's quite to night and day difference. Great card for the money.

A pain in the butt to use with a TV -- later dead before its time

Great value for the money. My computer is hooked up solely to my living room tv through an amplifier. (HDMI video / Digital Coax to amp, HDMI video only to TV)The computer runs all the time. If I don't turn the tv on, then the amp (making sure that the amp always starts on the computer input), the AMD drivers crash and blue screen my computer.I've owned multiple Radeon cards in the past, in the exact same machine, in fact -- none have every done this before. No driver packs seem to make a difference, so I guess there's just something about the way a display turns on through that setup that makes it angry. Wonky, but something I can work around.Update after 1 year, 4 months:The card has failed. It will no longer output 4k, and I therefore can't get it to interface with my LG TV at all. It still mostly works with 1080P monitors and lower, though it is flaky there as well. This thing lived an easy life -- rarely used for gaming, only with a single monitor, in a well-ventilated case, with a healthy psu. It was never what I'd consider reliable once I upgraded my TV (the driver problems I originally experienced escalated to the point where no simple 'start up order' could prevent failures), and started asking it to output 4k at 60 fps, but until it died today, I couldn't prove that the card was to blame specifically.I'll never purchase another Sapphire product, and honestly this will be my last ATI card period. Their drivers stink, and I'm just tired of fighting with them. I've been loyal since I started building computers over 15 years ago, but I'm going to nvidia.

Amazing Card! all my games at 60+ fps

This Card is just amazing! Im playing in a 1080p monitor and all my games are running in ultra at 60+ fps (Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Doom, Dying Light, Dark Souls III)Pros:Really good cooling system, reaching up to 68° in gaming modeQuietlow energy consumeBeautiful designGood priceCons:Its the 4GB version, and next gen games are consuming more than 4 GB of memory in ultra high settings. I cant play Rise of the Tomb Raider with the ultra high texture resolution. So if you have a extra money, go for the 8 GB version.
