Riddle of Anna Anderson remains unsolved.: Anna-Anastaia: the old and new versions and discussion

As far as the DNA tests of Anna Anderson are concerned, those doing it did not do their homework!
Boris Romanov used concise arguments to tear apart the reasoning regarding the supposed identity of Anna Anderson as a Polish peasant. I really do not believe that a peasant in 1920 in Poland would have had enough education or the ability to know so many secrets of the private life of the emperor's family. DNA tests do not give yes-or-no answers, but are stated in statistical probabilities, sometimes in ways that are totally unrelated to what you are trying to discover; this was something that Boris Romanov explained very clearly. And the person they said that Anna Anderson was did not even have the same body type. Somebody did not do their homework, and it shows.....

maybe anna was anastasia!
After reading the book again I started thinking maybe anna was Anastasia after all,i keep wondering about the dna tests, what if they were tampered with,in this world anything is possible, history is not what they tell us,as for the 2007 remains found how come there was no video of when the Russians dug it up? in the national geographic'finding Anastasia" program anthony falsetti is led to the site and then shown the bones but where are the bullets found with the bones?something is not right in these programs.

This is a good reference book for those of us who still believe that the truth of the death of the Russian royal family has not yet been told, It is not a very long book but it does raise doubts of the DNA results. I do not know if we will ever know the whole truth but at least this book tells how fallible the tests were. After all these years questions still remain. And even if we cannot totally answer those questions, I think they should be asked.

great book you are interested in this subject it is a great read - I am convinced of her story -
this woman looks like the Grand Duchess Maria to me - and not Anastasia .....don't know why I seem to be the only one to have noticed

Food for thought!
Very convincing! At the same time I like the fact that Mr. Boris Romanov encouraged the reader to draw his or her own conclusions & to not just take his word for it. I had to 're-read some sentences to make sure I grasped the full meaning. (Mr. Romanov, no one's English is perfect even among native speakers. Take a look at mine & I rest my case! -_-') I love that he even gave sources for further reading. For a long time I doubted Anna Anderson's claim, but Mr. Romanov pointed out DNA can be easily tainted given the questions of where & how was these samples stored? This can effect the outcome of DNA tests. Don't be afraid to delve into this! You might come away with fresh insight & it might surprise you.

It would have been perfect if an English person translated the book from the original Russian. However this is a good read. I love reading about the Romanovs.

Recommend to anyone interested in the Anastasia/ Anna Anderson saga.
This is a short concise text looking into the identity of Anna Anderson - and considering the old and new evidence and recent discussions on this subject - many of these discussions have taken place on Amazon and internet forums. The author gives good examples of why Anna Anderson could not have been Fransiska Schanskowska - and also shows the statistical probability that she was most likely Grand Duchess Anastasia.I thank the author for quoting from my own comments on Amazon - obviously we are in agreement that Grand Duchess Anastasia and Anna Anderson were the same person. It is translated from Russian and sometimes does not read perfectly in English - but is still easy to understand - so I recommend it to anyone interested in this subject.

Three Stars
Author writes knowledgeably but does not quite surmount the evidentiary mountain challenge

Disappointing
Poor English which the author did apologise for at the end but too many references to previous works. A very 'short' book. Disappointing.
