Salty Soda shampoo bar for normal to oily hair + dandruff concern

It's too soon to tell if this shampoo bar's biotin (etal) content improves hair health, but it isn't too soon to tell if this shampoo bar is like so many others I've tried. Past shampoo bar use for me has been equivalent to rubbing a brick on my head and in my hands to get later. No so with Arencia! It lathers easily and with lots of volume. I'm so much closer now to really being able to discontinue the use of plastic bottles. Thanks Arencia.

This was recommended to me after I complimented a neighbor on her hair looking particularly good. Like me, she has thinning, flat menopausal hair. I've tried several bar shampoos and this one remains my favorite. It lathers beautifully after 2 or 3 sweeps across my head and rinses out nicely. (I do use a cream conditioner afterwards as I have yet to find a bar conditioner that I like.) My hair blow dries with extra body after using this shampoo and looks shiny and healthy. It smells nice too!

I have super frizzy and dry hair. Tried many many different kinds of hair products from shampoo, conditioner, leave-in moisturizer, oil etc... and nothing seems to work. This tames the embarrassing frizz right from the first application! So happy for that! However, may take time to see the effectiveness for dryness (especially ends/split ends) and the shine to hair. I'm not a fan of bar soap, therefore, there's an adopting factor and adjustment. It doesn't lather up or feel the smoothness like regular soap, so may wonder if the product actually applied on hair when used. Hence, it took many rubbings to convince myself that the product got on my hair. Seems like it applied better in running water even though I wonder if product would also wash thin during the process. It doesn't feel silky and smooth like other conditioners, but does work in calming the frizz. So, if nothing else, love it for minimizing frizz!

I am 75 yr s old with thinning Grey hair. The product gathered nicely but my hair felt like straw afterward. I returned it. I would suggest trying it. Everyone's hair is different. Good luck

June 25 - I’ll write a “user” review after I’ve had a few days to try this product. For now, this is what it looked like upon arrival. I’m not sure what I expected, but imagined the bar would have been bigger. I hope it doesn’t erode away too quickly. July 6 - Not impressed. It’s a lathery soap. The end. It does not have a noticeable pleasant aroma, and body odors arise quicker than my brand named soap. (Yikes!) Also the soap puck (because it looks like a hockey puck) broke into pieces suddenly after about 10 days use. Attaching updated pictures of the broken soap and the left and right view of my ever present gray hair. *NOTE: I got a haircut 5 days in and hoped that would expedite the process for changing the color. See for yourself the results. I will continue to use until the last fragments of soap are gone and then write one final review. July 25 - When the puck got this small I wasn’t sure how long it would last so I took a picture. Then I showered and it obliterated, so good timing I guess. I found no difference in the color or texture of my hair over the last 5+ weeks use. Though the soap lathers well, - in my opinion - it does not provide a greater benefit than any other soap product, and it is certainly not worth the price.

I grew up with thick naturally curly hair. Age and an autoimmune disease has resulted in thin and fine hair that I spend too much money and time on. I read about the Arencia Night Shadow solid shampoo bar and purchased from curiosity I guess. I love it . Clean , shiny, hair with lot 's of body. No perfume smell . Just a soft , clean smell that does not over power my actual perfume. Love the freedom of just one product . Great nondrying lather resulting in shiny , bouncy hair.

Works slowly, but mostly works. It was my second one before I noticed my small bald spot on the upper back of my head filled back in. I still have silver sides, and a silver beard, but the top of my head and mustache are dark brown again. I am back to being salt and pepper like again and not going silver as fast.

The idea of this shampoo in a bar is brilliant; certainly great for travel. Here are the cons: The size is rather small for the price. I am really off-put by the scent- it smells rather like cheap perfume that I cant stand, it would be much more acceptable to me if it was unscented. I was disappointed in that white and black flecking supposedly designed for gray hair would be a great color enhancer = did absolutely nothing; The soap itself cleans well and doesn’t leave the hair dry or over oily; however I did notice that I have to wash my hair more often when I use this shampoo, perhaps it does have something that increases oil production in the sebaceous glands or is itself somewhat oily. It also claims that it encourages hair regrow the- I found ZERO benefit in this claim.. It claims it is a Volumizing shampoo- made my hair rather limp. Over all, I think this is an expensive bar shampoo that claims a lot of benefits it doesn’t deliver. Too bad because I really wanted to like it.

楽しみにしていたのですが‥。 箱が潰れているのはまだ良いとして、 中身が画像や説明と全く違う。 石鹸に彫られているはずのArenciaという文字が平らに何かで削り取られている跡がある事と、チョコレートの香りだと記載してあるが全くしない事。 どうみてもロウソクの色と質感でシアバターやココアバターが入っている気配が全くない。 何で作られているのか使うのが怖い。 別の石鹸の文字を消して入れたのではないかとの疑いが拭えない。
