Great watch if you want to mix elegance with practical ...
Great watch if you want to mix elegance with practical needs. Miss the ticking sound (must be a full digital on the inside) but works great. I've known some people that the hands didn't last long but they didn't take too much care of the watch either. So I highly recommend not to use it in harsh or hand working environments. Day to day and events.

Fake
I called Tissot and confirmed this watch is not authentic. I received a very generic manual that provided zero help and a cheaply made box with a tissot label and a fake tissot authenticity warranty card from a third party seller.

Short life span
I would expect a watch costing this much to last for at least a dozen years. The one I have was purchased in 2008 and has been going down hill ever since. First the band pins started failing and I have had them replaced, then the pressure sensor quit working (which knocks out the altimeter and weather sensor)followed by the temp sensor. The watch warranty is only one year. If you need an everyday watch - buy another brand.

Very nice watch
Great watch at a great price. Saved around 40% over jewelry store prices. Came in the retail box with all the documentation. Same watch Angelina wore in cradle of life. Noticed that after I bought it.

Look closely! This watch is brilliantly polished, like Detroit chrome.
The pictures in this listing did not indicate to me the fact that this watch is a highly polished finish throughout. Picture the gleaming chrome bumpers on many of the cars from the fifties and you've got the picture. I just looks like something you'd see on a side street in Tijuana, MX for ten bucks. I opted to return it.

cool functions!
I like Tissot's take on this corner of the market. In this class of instrument-watches, you've got Suunto, casio, timex, and citizen. All are very plasticky and toy-like. Tissot brings a bit of craftsmanship to the arena. The one that I purchased was the full ti with carbon dial.Packaging was appropriate to the price class, but no instruction manual came with mine! A quick download, and we were back in business. There are lots of functions, so a manual is a must!Physically, the case is well made, if a bit bulky. There were no raw tool-marks or blemishes. The rotating bezel is a bit to easy to rotate, but it is not loose or poorly made. It does rotate accidentally all the time, so we would have to consider it a flaw in the design. The Pushers work well, but are a bit mushy from a tactile sense. The case-back has nice etching and is pleasingly smooth on the wrist. the weight is ideal..just heavy enough to feel expensive. The bracelet is made of solid Ti links, and uses pins for removing links. At this price-point, that is acceptable. The only notable flaw in the design is that the sides of the links have some dimpling where they were manufactured. I believe this is attributable to the titanium construction. Anyway, it is barely visible and does not detract from the watch's appearance. The clasp is effective and well made for the price. The extension link is cheap looking, but Rolex was using the same design a few years ago and no one complained about that!Functionality is the purpose of the watch and it seems to do this well. It will take a while to become acclimated to all the functions. Just take my word and read the manual a few times! Anyway, The compass tested accurately. The barometer is accurate in a relative sense, more so than in absolute values. The altimeter is good as long as you calibrate it from time to time. The thermometer function is disappointing, however. Tissot decided to mount the thermistor under the watch's caseback. So it gives you a skin-temperature reading. It reads water temp well, and can read room temp accurately if you take it off for 10 minutes or so. Sadly, I had a cheap casio that could read room temp while being worn, and I am surprised that tissot did not emulate the idea. First, casio put the sensor on the face of the watch and surrounded it in a ring of plastic insulator material. Then they programed an extrapolation algorithm that estimated temps. On the wrist, it was usually within a degree F of real temps!! Tissot could do this too!Overall, a great product. Swiss craftsmanship, pleasing design, good functions, and a fair price. T-touch watches are reputed to be unreliable, but so far, mine has been great!!

Broken without any reason
I just used this watch around five times a year. But a few days ago, when I wore it, I just found that the compass shell case fell out!!! Are you kidding me?!!! It's broken without any reason. I did not even touch it! The even worse thing is that I bought it from Amazon, I cannot use the Tissot International Warranty. This is so ridiculous! I hope Amazon can help me out. I just hope you guys be smart and alert about it. Can you believe it? Broken without a touch!

Great watch, and easy to use
I love this watch. When I received it, I was intimidated by the owners manual, but after using a few of the functions, it quickly became quite intuitive how it works.

Really great watch
Cautiously leaving my titanium Citizen "Red Arrows" radio-controlled watch to one side - no mean challenge for an accuracy freak - I have to report split-second time accuracy after 4 months! I use the barometer several times a day, the altimeter several times a week and the compass several times a month - all brilliant functions. The thermometer has been useful twice in 4 months but does take about 15 minutes off-wrist to tell the truth on ambient temperature. The expanding bracelet allows for wearing over outdoor clothing, and the finish is startlingly scratch-proof. The alarm is too quiet to waken me even from a doze, but is OK for timing short projects; I miss the countdown timer on the Citizen.Whilst on the subject of what is NOT there, I also miss day-of-the-week indication (I prefer to think of this as a wilderness requirement rather than an Alzheimer's one) and solar re-charging. I have no idea how my intensive use of the accessory functions will affect the battery life - what use my altimeter function half-way up Everest if the battery dies? I need to research that. Fortunately the geographical address of the UK Tissot service/repair shop is only a few miles from me.Finally, despite the impressive scratch resistance of the watch and bracelet - for which I am more then grateful - I sort of regret the treatment they have given the titanium that makes it look so much like stainless steel! but however they have done it they have upped the scratch-resistance of titanium.Well done!
